Really tasty menu and a wonderful, high class rustic atmosphere. Definitely ask to get to go back into the cave where the cheese ripens, that is super interesting. My favourite was trying all of the starters, and I do mean all of them.

Super! Food and employees. Please go for it! In the back it has the biggest Crotto of Chiavenna where they let the cheese mature... Very nice to see.

This restaurant is part of the natural cave system that keeps the area cool in the summer heat. They offer local dishes such as galletto (a young chicken) which comes from this region.

The best Tiramisu in town. We tried 3 times to go there but it was busy. Finally my last day in city we got a table and the food was amazing! I super recommend this place.

For anyone that doesn't know it, a Crotto is the place to go to taste the most amazing local food in the region. We had a lovely dinner at Crotto Ombra, with good food and very kind staff. Recommended.

Come willing to try traditional foods and large portions. House wine was an amazing local bottle. I highly recommend for a mid priced dinner.

Il cerotto è situato a ridosso di prato Giano nel centro di Chiavenna proprio nella zona dove si trovano gli storici crotti della valle e dove si svolge l’annuale sagra dei crotti famosa. Si è mangiato molto molto bene. Ottimo gli gnocchetti della valchiavenna, buonissimo il brasato d’asino (particolare) e insomma buono tutto. Bello anche l’ambiente dove una sala è completamente rivestita in legno mentre l’altra con degli affreschi ai muri. Da tornare sicuramente.
