Absolutely charming place with lots of hiking tracks to discover and hidden restaurants where you can have a delicious pasta with fungi 😋 unfortunately huge amount of forest burned down during recent fires.

An amazing national park, beautiful and peaceful for walks. Pity that many coming here seem to be keen on littering it and setting it on fire.

One fo the best place in Italy.
Aspromonte Natural Park has a 1800 different species, various climate areas, an unparalleled culinary tradition. This is the place were mountains and sea meet, were you can ski in front of the Mediterranean sea.
I strictly recommend to visit it in every season.

I visit Aspromonte every year. Santa Cristina d'Aspromonte, to be exact. A town of maybe 800 living inhabitants. Full of history which can only be shared at the bar over a beverage, with a traditional meal or with my Zia and Zio.... walk in and around, do not be afraid. Terra madre rules here.
