I Castagni is a gorgeous oasis in a historic 12th century village, within a stunning Tuscan landscape. The hosts, Jan and Tim, are fully committed to their guests' comfort and they have anticipated every need. The ancient, thoughtfully restored rooms are outfitted with modern amenities, but the architecture is original and stunning. The outdoor spaces- pool, terrace, lower garden, and the amazing detached breakfast room- have extraordinary vistas and the indoor common rooms are charming and well-appointed for socializing or relaxing. I highly recommend this luxury inn with its kind hosts who greet you by name and envelop you with a warm welcome.

My week at ICastagni was a wonderful experience in the lovely village of Montefollonico. Tim and Janet have created a place that has every modern amenity without losing the historic charm of the hotel. Our accommodations were excellent from the comfortable bed, linens and spacious restrooms. Having AC and screens on the windows were an added plus. Eating breakfast on the outdoor patio overlooking the scenic valley is what you imagine when visiting Tuscany. The pool was an added bonus and a great way to spend a few restful hours. On a scale of one to ten, I would give ICastagni a twelve. Looking forward to the time I can return.

I stayed here as part of the Tuscan Women Cook course. It was a spectacular week - Tim and Jan are the consummate hosts, the property is beyond gorgeous, the breakfasts were divine. A truly luxury hotel. Highly recommend!

I booked I Castagni for a group board meeting in August of 2021. Our guests really enjoyed being inside a charming medieval village. Views were outstanding, the rooms comfortable and well-appointed, hosts Tim and Jan were extremely helpful and hospitable to our guests. Highly recommend this lovely Tuscan hotel in the most charming and delightful village.

The owners Tim and Jan are simply spectacular! Lovely boutique hotel with stunning views. One of the most wonderful and unique places I’ve stayed- I did not want to leave! Cannot wait to stay again!
