This is one of our favourite places in this part of Tuscany. Fabulous food and wines, wonderful staff, cool breezes outside in an authentic Tuscan town -- all amazing. 👏🏻

Always a great experience here. The manager and his son are so friendly and accommodating to you the whole time. The food is amazing and you can’t go wrong with anything you order. The special pasta made in the cheese wheel is to die for. Such a cute little terrace to sit in while eating and they really do work hard there. I recommend calling for a reservation because it gets busy. Can’t wait to come back at some point

This is a gem. We stumbled upon Montefollonico trying to evade the hordes of tourists in nearby towns. It is a quiet village with stunning views. And then we found this restaurant! Fantastic experience. Run by the owner and his son, the food is authentic and delicious. We had a lot of fun joking with the seemingly gruff owner who is also a gem. Best meal of our trip. Highly recommended. Make a reservation as several groups were turned away last night.

Terrific in every respect. Anyone saying the owner is rude just doesn’t get it. He is deeply warm, if a bit crusty on the outside, just like the best Italian breads. He and his son are welcoming, even when stretched thin. Their English was better than our Italian, which was good enough for an exceptional evening.

Always good fun. Nice dining terrace. The hot pasta in the pecorino cheese is a great performance! However, all the food is excellent. Often very busy, so reserve if possible (by telephone - the email goes to Florence!). Please note that, like many small restaurants in Tuscany, the opening and closing hours are pretty strictly adhered to, so govern yourself accordingly. Recommended.

We have eaten here during three different trips to Italy. Terrific meals each time. We especially loved the Caccio de Pepe ; fun to watch being prepared and delicious to eat. A lot of fun and we highly recommended by us.

Best meal of our 2 weeks trip in Italy! Everything from the starter of olive oil bruschetta to dessert of pistachio panna cotta was delicious. We had the signature tagliatelle with pecorino cheese and the beef with green salad and it was superb! Love the energy of the friendly restaurant owner as well - highly recommended!

Excellent choice in the quiet town of Montefollonico, Torrita di Siena. Reasonably priced, good service and lovely atmosphere. Located just inside the medieval village. We enjoyed local wine, salads and the pecorino pasta. Highly recommend!

Delicious food and wine. I had a wonderful tagliatelle with pecorino cheese (molten inside the cheese wheel) with a tasteful white wine and a sparkling water. Great service too. A hidden gem in the little cozy town of Montefollonico.

Must visit when in Tuscany! Hands down the best meal and dessert I’ve had in Italy. We got the wild boar ragu and their speciality, pecorino cheese pasta where you can watch them make it in the cheese wheel (beautiful experience). Desserts were endless options with different toppings but the cheesecake with caramel and sea salt was to die for. If only I could eat at this resturant every night!

Very attentive staff, fast service and fair prices. Be sure to try their signature dish, pasta made in a pecorino cheese. The beef was soft and rich in taste.

We came here twice because the food and experience was so good! Definitely recommend and would go back 100 more times! Portions are great and prices are good! The owner and the others working there were so friendly and made the experience much better!

What can I say, first restaurant we hit on our week and a half stay in Italy and I’m still thinking about it. Get the pasta in pecorino and the Florentine Steak…the showmanship, the experience, amazing.

A wonderful place. You can relax while eating a delicious dinner. Here everything has its time and place. The wonderful host creates the atmosphere of the place and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Once you understand the atmosphere of this place, you will want to come back here.
The host does not respond to English.... but don't be disgusted, you will surely communicate. Languages introduce artificial divisions. Take your time, but be firm in your orders.... The host cares about everyone, but he is only one. Super place- wonderful food!

As we stayed in Montefollonico for two months, we spent many delightful evenings in 13 Gobbi. Albo and Matteo were wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. The food was beyond excellent, and the atmosphere was always a perfect Tuscan experience. Our routine was to take our various guests to 13 Gobbi on the first night they arrived and again on the last night before they left. I cannot recommend 13 Gobbi enough. Wonderful restaurant, wonderful people. I wish I was there now!

This was our favorite restaurant of our whole trip! The owner and his son were so friendly and accommodating, the food was to die for, especially their specialty pecorino pasta, the restaurant was cozy and inviting. Overall such a great experience, highly recommend it !
