La pizzicata

We had an amazing experience at La Pizzicata after our Bernina Express trip!
The restaurant owner made us a special pasta dish that was out of this world. We also had a Margherita pizza and a Four Cheese pizza, both incredibly delicious and reasonably priced. The flavors were exceptional, and the hospitality made our visit unforgettable. Highly recommended!

I stopped by for a quick lunch and had pasta and chicken salad. Pasta was super tasty with simple ingredients. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They have menus in several languages including English which is very helpful :-)

I update my review a bit after learning more about the pasta I had which was really great! From the reply of the owner Andrea, indeed it’s not just simple ingredients ( I don’t cook at all :-P) but in fact includes various and very fresh. I had spent already full 10 days in different cities in Italy prior to my visit to Tirano and this restaurant and truthfully one of the best I have had!
Wish I can visit again and try others too :-)

Beautiful pizza, nice compositions with lovely ingredients such as cime di rapa. And what is really amazing - the great value for surprisingly good price. We will be back!

Little gem of a place. Worth the walk away from the main square ( killing time between Bernina trips ?). Limited hours, only one person running the whole show but excellent food and cheery service.

So delicious! We ordered way too much food - the portions are generous and the prices are good.

We spontaneously ordered two vegan pizzas (No 3 and 5) at La Pizzicata to pick up and were absolutely thrilled. The restaurant owners are very friendly, the pizzas are excellent in taste and appearance. The vegan pizza toppings were very creative and unique. The price was also very fair for these great pizzas. I wish I had such a great pizza place in my hometown. 5/5

Very nice place. Owner explained everything about the ingredients he uses. He definitely loves the job and therefore the food was delicious :)

Good vegan menu. Very good prices (€8 for a full size pizza) with some interesting choices of topping, including almonds, sesame, roast endive, a well as the usual olives, sun-dried tomatoes, aubergine, courgette and mushrooms

Walk from the train station was worth it to get away from the crowds. Still, we were advised that food will take 60min to ve served. Food was worth the wait. The pizzas we ordered cost eur6.50 and eur7 00 each.

Ideally situated midway along the walkway between the Tirano railway station and the basilica. Perfect to stop for lunch during the Bernina Express stop in Tirano. Excellent pizzas, authentic taste, very reasonably priced, quick service, English speaking staff, plenty of vegetarian options. Very glad we found this place!

Wow what great pizza! Only a few minutes walk from the train station. Friendly service, short wait, cold drinks. Inexpensive--great value!
