Riva del Sole Resort & SPA

Riva del Sole is a wonderful place to stay, with guests of all ages. There’s room and activities for everyone, and enough land and space that it never feels crowded. The hotel buildings nestle into the surrounding pine woods and greenery, while on the beach the sea views are lovely.
All staff are friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is one of mutual respect and safety. Very relaxing for a vacation.

My partner and I stayed at the Riva del Sole for two nights at the end of a busy trip. We LOVED how relaxed we felt after we left. The hotel rooms were comfortable and had amazing beds. The beach was pristine and had a beach bar for snacks and drinks very close by. The dinner and breakfast that was provided by the hotel (with our package) had a lot of options while being high quality. We were happy with every meal! We also enjoyed the live music at the piano bar.

One word to describe our stay in the Riva Del Sole - Perfect - from booking to checkout.
The staff, the service, the food, the beach, the pool, the fitness center, the cleanness, the maintenance, the atmosphere, we will return without a doubt.

It was a very clean, beautiful Family place. The sea was only a two-minute walk away, and there were lots of trees. 🌳I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

Perfect resort. The location is superb. The resort is perfectly-kept, lots of trees, flowers and shadow. The pool quality is excellent with 2 bowls, one with sea or salt water. Nice beach. We had an appartment so enjoyed the possibility to cook by ourselves (very good small supermarket within the resort with high-quality products) or eat in one of the restaurants of the resort. Thank you.

We had such a nice stay at Riva del Sole Resort and SPA. The facilities was really nice, the rooms had comfortable beds and was properly cleaned every day.
All staff was friendly and service minded. The food at The Palm was extraordinary. The beach was amazing.
We will love to come back some day!

The Riva del Sole area is fantastic, and the apartments are beautifully located in between the trees. Staff is super friendly and the beach, pool and café are amazing. The interior of the apartment was decent, but it felt a bit outdated and the kitchen isn't equipped with a lot of kitchen gear to cook your own meals, but we were out most of the time anyway so not a big deal. All in all we had a super great week and I can really recommend Riva del Sole.

Many parking spots, but also many cars. Modern rooms. Clean. It smells nice in the main building. Friendly ambiente. Breakfast is good, but not excellent. Pools/Fitness are very good. No soft mattress on the beach. Beach very clean, VIP feeling on the beach since there are only 2 rows. It was just perfect for swimming. I can recommend the restaurant "Skipper" in the village. We paid 320...340 EUR for the night. I think the price was a bit too high for what you get in the end, something was missing for full 5 points. I have been to resorts where I got definitely more for the money. I guess guests came 50 % from Italy, 25 % from Germany, 25 % from Switzerland. I give 4.5 points, let's make 5.

We returned to Riva del Sole after 25 years. The hotel has been fully renovated and the rooms are wonderful. The staff is friendly and helpful. A special mention goes to Simona at the front desk, Alessandra at the restaurant and Stefano at the Spa. They all made our stay even more enjoyable! Will be returning next year!
Some criticisms: We opted for half board - to be honest, we were somewhat disappointed by the food... would have preferred some simple dishes once in a while. The restaurant is lovely, but the green fake grass carpet is cheap looking .... Finally, some more adult entertainment would be appreciated. But the positives out way the negatives by far!

Wow! Outstanding resort!! Lives up to the high expectations advertised on the website! Location, facilities, rooms - perfect! Staff, amazing! Food, the best in the region! Highly recommend this incredible resort and look forward to returning!! We stayed in the Coral Suite & were treated like royalty, it’s not easy to impress New Yorkers, but Riva Del Sole is the REAL DEAL!

I have stayed here 5 times In the apartment buildings and none in the hotel. Getting an apartment means that you make your own foods. But as there are food stores close by and even a small boutique on site.

The beach is absolutely lovely, you have to pay for sun stools. The pools are great but can get quite crowded.

The wi-fi is generally okay, better by the pool, none at the beach.

Every time I've been here I've had an amazing, relaxing stay so I would definitely recommend this place if your planning a trip to Tuscany!

Good service in a wonderful place. We look forward to no corona limits at the spa and gym in future holidays. Miss an ordinary supermarket as before, a little bit to touristic now. Fantastic staff and service everywere at Riva del Sole. Al clean, nice and good maintenance. I miss a little bit equipment in the kitchen in the apartment.

I had a wonderful one week stay at Riva del Sole with my parents and young daughter. The resort is a perfect place for a multi generation family vacation. The beach was beautiful with many fun water sports readily available. The pool area was beautiful and chairs always available, lots of good shade and fun and clean pools. We enjoyed all the facility restaurants and bars. Service was great, the staff always hustled very fast to serve everyone quickly and were helpful with special requests. The room was spacious, stayed in a Junior suite. Lovely décor, comfortable beds, excellent bathrooms and showers, loved the small dressing room area and used the nice balconies. WiFi worked great and fast absoulutely everywhere. The front desk staff was nice too. Can't complain about any aspect at all.

We had an amazing stay at Riva Del Sole. This was our first trip to Tuscany, and the village of Castiglione della Pescaia was absolutely perfect for our "few quiet days" before heading to Rome for business. All of the resort attendants were great, and the Bar RIva bartenders were the best! We stayed in the Coral Suite and it was very nice with an amazing bathroom and shower. Highly recommend the Coral Suite.

Our only recommendation is to make sure guests know that without a car, getting to and from the village is about a 2 km walk, as there is no shuttle or taxi service available. If you plan on arriving without a car, reserve bicycles and you will be set!

Also - La Mortelle winery tour was a great way to see the countryside. Great winery with a very unique cellar that is a must see, and a setting for lunch that you will want to spend a few hours enjoying!

What a wonderful hotel! I really had very little idea of what to expect as I couldn’t get a feel for the hotel and resort through the website, on the telephone, or through TripAdvisor.
It’s a beautiful, modern, clean, smart building with excellent rooms and really good service.
The only big disappointment was Riva Beauty.
Our bedrooms in the hotel were wonderful, the cleaners were brilliant, the beach bar was fantastic (both during the day and in the evening), the beach loungers were perfect, and the beach and sea were glorious!
The sole place where there should have been more staff to serve was the Linné Piano Bar where it took forever to get a drink from one, overworked waitress who had lots of customers waiting.
We used La Palma restaurant for breakfast, which was excellent, and just once for dinner. Dinner here was very good, but we found the building municipal, and not the sort of restaurant that we wanted. It has great service, but is like a smart corporate canteen rather than an Italian Trattoria.
The hotel staff organised bikes to be available to us for the whole week, through a bike hire company, and we had wonderful evenings, biking along the safe bike track, to the beautiful town 10 minutes away.

We've spent only four days at the resort. The booking procedure, the staff members, the quality and cleaniness of the rooms very very good. We had lovely, relaxing and happy days at the resort.

My husband and I were delighted to have stayed four nights with you. Every staff member provided us with information needed. The clientele were mainly Germans and Italians, which for us Americans, we considered a bonus.
We will see you again next September!

We stayed for one week in July with our three children for the first time (we had only joined friends for the day in the hotel in prior years). Fantastic environment to relax and have fun with the children - friendly and helpful staff. We had ordered a cot bed which wasn't in the room when we arrived - the helpful team brought it over within five minutes of making the phone call to reception which was really appreciated.

We have already enquired about a booking for 2019 and expect it to be an annual event!

We really enjoyed staying at one of the apartments. The service with child dance, umbrella, market, Bar Riva is so nice and cosy. We would like to come again.

Great Resort! Me and my family been going here almost yearly for the past 18 years. It has a small SPA and multiple pool basins. The beach is just gorgeous and you get an assigned ulbrella with 2 chairs. If you need more you can rent umbrellas or chairs for a pretty high rent per week.
It has multiple little stores for every day needs which have a little markup. Iwas never in the hotel only in the appartments so I cant say much about them. It has a very good program for kids to do stuff. There is a restaurant on site and a little bar with snacks. You get free wifi which is fast but sometimes a bit spotty. But it is enough and everyone in the appartment can get in at the same time.
