What an amazing town. If you want to feel a true Tuscan village then go to Volterra. It is beautiful and the people are as well.
My wife and I literally felt connected to the degree we saw ourselves living there.
The vibe is homey, old, stylish and proper Tuscan.

Volterra, my most favourite town to see the lovely and breathtaking Tuscan landscapes. The quaint narrow winding streets which took me to the best viewpoint in all the towns that we fortunately visited during our stay in the Tuscan region.

It would have been easy to miss the viewpoint without me venturing deeper in town. If you want to go straight to the viewpoint, ask where the ambulance department is or the square where the church and museum are found where you'll see a big tower. In front of it, just follow on and turn on the first left. It is such an amazing view. I never thought that I'll see the landscapes that I can only see in movies and some paintings that I was fortunately seen in my life.

If you're lucky enough and.you have time. Drive to where the underground carpark and public toilet is and you'll see the amazing sunset. Enjoy! ❤

World Heritage Medieval city, protected by Unesco .It has all the glamour of a Tuscany city.Piazze and small streets, full of small shops, cafes and trattorie. If you climb up the many steps of Torre Toscano (Tower house ),you'll have a panoramic view of the city.

Beautiful little town, worth spending 1-2 hours here. The view of the fabulous Tuscan landscape gives you an unforgettable experience. You can park in the parking lots outside the city walls, 1.5 eur/hour. Local market on Saturday morning.

Its the best place in all the Tuscany. High up to have the best views. Amazing old town, with a great square. Restaurants are amazing, affordable, with a good wine. Parking is easy since you have paid and free ones, so you can choose. Simply amazing place to spend the day.

The cobbled narrow roads and makes you feel being back in Medieval times. The inhabitants don't behave like the typical Italians; they don't speak unless spoken to, responding with short sentences. The city is a testimony of the pre-Roman Etruscan civilization. The Etruscan museum is and tge douvenir shops with local craftswork are wirth visiting. The view of Tuscany from Volterra is breath-taking.

Amazing town to see. If you come to Tuscany you must see this town. It was the cradle of Etruscan people who lived before Romans and during early Romans.

Incredible town to wander around. Not worth paying to visit the Roman Theatre as you get a good view from the town walls

Friendly atmosphere in town. Plenty of scenery throughout because it’s way on top of a hill. Excellent for picture taking
