Ballooning in Florence

Florence is for sure one of the most beautiful cities in the world and there is nothing more sensational than admiring it in a hot air balloon tour.

We started at dawn when most of Firenze was still asleep.
Fascinating seeing how the balloon was assembled, especially when they inflated this huge beautifully decorated balloon with hot air and it grew in something enormous!
We all got is the basket and gently it took off the ground and floated over the Arno river. The beautiful bridges including Ponte Vecchio, The Uffizi Gallery, Palazzo Vecchio and obviously the most impressive landmark of Florence The Duomo. They felt so close I wanted to reach out and touch them.
The wind gently took us slowly up and down over the downtown area of Florence.
I cannot describe how sensational it was to be able to see this city I love so , from this position. I know this city so well, but now I have a very different understanding of it. I was able to discover details from the air that I have never seen on the ground

Slowly we gained altitude and we could admire even better the beautiful skyline of Florence and its position between the Chianti hills. The slowly rising sun lit up the city from the east and created a magical perspective over centuries old architecture.

The wind took us further to the glowing hills south of Florence, above vineyards and olive trees, and this is where after one hour Ivan, our pilot and owner of the company, landed us gently on top of one of the hills in the grass.

We were professionally helped out of the basket and surprised by a gorgeous glass of Prosecco wine!

While Ivan and his team carefully deflated the balloon, they respected even the smallest olive tree and the environment, we enjoyed our Prosecco.
We could not stop expressing our enthusiasm amongst ourselves about this overwhelming experience. We were all then driven back to the departure point, San Niccolo, in an SUV, which is within 10 minutes walking from the Historical downtown area of Florence!

I wish to thank Ivan and his team for their kindness, their professionalism and the extreme care they took for everyone’s security on board .
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND every single person to JUST DO THIS!
You can buy a new car, but tomorrow it is old, this you will never forget and nobody will ever be albe to take it away from you. LOVE YOURSELF! THIS IS THE MOMENT!

La settimana scorsa abbiamo fatto un meraviglioso volo su Firenze in famiglia con nostro figlio di 11 anni che si è divertito anche nella preparazione del gonfiaggio e dello sgonfiaggio della mongolfiera. Festeggiavamo un compleanno importante con lo champagne a bordo. Discesa fantastica e memorabile. Ivan e il suo team professionali e accoglienti. Firenze dall alto è ancora più incantevole. Grazie. Viaggiare in mongolfiera non è nient'altro che un volo nel silenzio della natura, lasciandosi trasportare dal vento e dai sogni.. ed io ho sognato!
Un'esperienza che rifarei altre mille volte nella vita.

Esperienza stupenda!

Esperienza fantastica. Ci sono andato 2 anni fa, e ancora oggi lo tengo nel cuore come una delle esperienze più incredibile che abbia mai vissuto. Il prezzo non è sicuramente tra i più accessibili, motivo per cui manca la quinta stella ma l’esperienza è stata davvero completa. Grandi ragazzi, al termine del giro hanno anche offerto un aperitivo completo con le primizie locali.

Un emozionante volo sulle terre di Siena. Un' esperienza che merita davvero!!! E che dire dell' atterraggio direttamente nel carrello del fuoristrada!!!! Fantastico....
