I loved riding the horse. Although my horse (Flint) had a mind of its own. It stayed hungry. I would definitely recommend this place.

The best horse back riding experience to be had in Jamaica, went for a private ride and swim! Will do this every time I come cause the staff made me feel like family!

We did the Private Horseback Ride 'n' Swim and River Combo. The horse are clearly very well cared for, the guides were attentive and fabulous. What an amazing day! My whole group loved it and will do it again upon our return!

Incredible, unique, &memorable experience.

We got their from Montego Bay (~2h ride) without any reservation, checked in, &started riding 15minutes later.

Since I rented a car with my girlfriend, we went there alone, &ended up having a private ride for the price of a group ride, and nonetheless:
The guide was awesome!
Jamming &explaining us our surroundings as we went through the trails.

Best travel experience I had so far, it's a MUST.

Amazing experience! Very professional staff! I had an incredible experience even as a beginner, especially at the beach portion of the tour. Definitely ask for the photo package - it's worth it! Ask for Rasta too - he was an awesome guide!

Unplanned visit to Jamaica due to Hurricane Doria, so this was planned last minute at the port. We really enjoyed the horseback ride. They really took great care of our 5-year old daughter. She had never ridden before, but did great with some help from Lord Byron and the rest of the guides!

I recently visited these stables while on a cruise to Falmouth. In correspondence while planning before the trip, the staff were exceptionally kind. The directions given were contrasting versus arrival (were able to store backpacks at stables on bus or take them with you, bring cash for snacks and drinks on beach halfway through ride), but that was the only discrepancy. If you're a rider I highly recommend going on a private tour for more involved riding. The guide gives a lovely cultural tour of the life of the locals, native plants, etc. The beaches and waters are incredible, truly breath-taking. Private tour riders get more swim time. When not taking turns riding, you get to swim in the pristine waters on the white sand beaches. They do take pictures of you riding, a CD of all riders in your party is $40 and well worth it.

Important thing to remember is this is Jamaica. It is not a five star resort. The scenery is a very awakening picture of the real life and comparably impoverished country of Jamaica in contrast to the United States. The horses have impeccable feet, but some are skinny or have skin conditions present. The tack in some cases is poorly fitted. They appear slightly sedated (for your safety and their relaxation). But they are not hungry, they are not neglected, and they are pampered compared to most animals in this country. They have an easy job and are very vital as an income for many people. They have a flawless routine for them and enjoy a high quality of life once the day is done.

These are very kind people who are giving you the best hospitality you could possibly wish for. Never once did we feel unsafe. They love these horses, they are their life source. Please keep an open mind and a clear reality before judging. And please tip well; these people are not growing rich from this. Any money put into businesses like these will help Jamaica grow.

(Sincerely, a veterinary nurse for equines and a fellow horse owner)

I got to ride Silver while doing this excursion with my family. She was the sweetest horse and I had a blast riding her. My favorite though was being able to ride the horses in the water. Would definitely go back!

It's a very nice place to be a lot of adventure horse riding, side seams and a lot more to be this cover.

About Rio Bueno
Village in Jamaica

Rio Bueno is a settlement in Jamaica. It has a population of 1,096 as of 2009.
