Inn Seiryuso

Fantastic experience. We stayed in late September, off-peak season, and there were only a few guests besides us. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel right at home. Our room was huge, with our own private onsen, and the facilities left us thoroughly impressed. We couldn't get enough of the Finnish sauna! We regret not choosing the meal-inclusive plan, but the concierge ordered food for us from a nearby sushi restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

Authentic Japanese inn with Onsen baths. The room was great too! We didn’t eat here unfortunately but we explored the nearby restaurants easily. The staff were friendly and attentive but don’t speak English. We used Google translate to good effect.

Absolutely gorgeous place. You wouldn’t expect this gem in that small village. You drive in there and it’s like completely different place.
The inn itself is older but well maintained. Our room was huge, with bedroom, two seating areas, separate dinning area and tub. We also had huge balcony with view of the pool.
The facilities are great, with heated pool, separate spa, steam rooms and more. Beautiful garden will make you feel you’re somewhere else.

Food was of course absolutely delicious. Would love to go back and spend more nights and the food value increases on the second night.

Beautiful Japanese style hotel. Sits next to the river and surrounded by green. Former US president Jimmy Carter stayed in here during his 1979 visit. Excellent service, clean and amazing staff. Room 105 was lovely. 110 square meters, Japanese style (tatami) with 2 bathrooms and private onsen. Very quiet and relaxing.
Hotel has also a swimming pool, Kero Sauna, Finnish Sauna, Spa and a Thermalium.
We didn’t take a plan with meals which we should have done, although there are lots of restaurants and convenience stores within a short driving distance.

We spent two nights here in mid-February as we wanted to see the early cherry blossoms in Minami Izu and Kawazu. It was a great choice as the weather was cold and rainy so we were able to warm up in the heated outdoor pool, saunas, and onsen after sightseeing. We got a basic tatami/futon room with in-room sink/toilet but no in room shower. We did not include meals. It was great for us as the room was large with a seating area overlooking the river and we declined cleaning so we could sleep in and relax in our room during the morning. There was a humidifier and fridge in the room. Even though we declined cleaning, they gave us a tray with fresh towels, yukata, and toiletries for our second day.

The highlight is the outdoor pool heated with onsen water, Finnish sauna, and Thermarium Roman tiled sauna/foot bath. You wear swimsuits in the pool and saunas and it’s fun to try them all out. There’s a small child’s pool swim area too. If you have a small tattoo that is covered by your swimwear you should be ok but no large tattoos. The public baths are gorgeous and one side is used by women and one by men from 2:00 pm to midnight and then it switches and you can use the other side from midnight to 11:00 am. So you can try both sides of the onsen even if only staying one night. There is also a private onsen you can reserve for 1,500 yen for 50 minutes or wait until 11:00 pm as it’s free to use from 11 pm until 7:00am the next morning if open. To reserve the private onsen during the paid times just go to the front desk and ask to reserve the (kashikiri) onsen.

The staff didn’t really speak English but it was the low season and my guess is that if we had asked for someone to help us in English they would have tried to accommodate. We used Booking.com to reserve so you can send a message asking if an English speaker is available to help at your checkin time. The staff were very kind and patient with my basic Japanese so if you only speak a little bit don’t be shy - they will try their best to understand and be happy you are trying to speak Japanese too.

We drove and parked for free at the hotel but it’s a 5 minute walk from Rendaji Station so easy access by public transit.

The service was great. It was only 20000jpy for one night for two( in may) , without meals. You can reserve private bath if you don’t have one in your room , but staring from 11pm to morning it’s free. You can just go check if someone is bathing or not and use it when it’s empty . They change the public bath at 12am. both wonderful. Pool 30degrees in winter , the sauna is fancy . I liked the Massage chair. Classic ryokan! They don’t have WiFi in your rooms.

A first rate onsen in Shimoda. Unique amenities including a real Finnish wood fired sauna, great steam room, an onsen fed pool, onsen in the room and excellent food. The rooms also have western style beds which are not typical. 10m ride from Shimoda station...

伊豆急下田駅の中心から車で7〜8分ほどの閑静な稲生沢川のほとりにある清流と樹林に包まれた名湯名園の高級和風旅館である清流荘。今回は、源泉かけ流し半露天風呂付東館和洋室に宿泊させていただきました。
食事・温泉そして館内設備も期待していた通りハイレベルで新しい現代ホテルにはない良さがありました。室外南国風プールも温泉でどことなくユニークさもあります。
いつかはアメリカ大統領も宿泊したといわれる貴賓室にも行ってみたいです。

２月の下旬、温泉旅行に行きたくて、日本旅行から家族３人平日の予約をして行きました。
今回は三島まで新幹線、三島から往復をレンタカーで行きました。
伊豆下田蓮台寺温泉清流荘は伊豆半島先端に位置してるため観光客はまばらです。
行き帰りは時間がかかるだけ、平日などは貸し切り的に温泉宿を占有できます。
今回宿泊したのは「えいげつの部屋」でしたが、和室12畳と6畳の部屋、温泉付きで部屋としては、ある程度の古さは有りますが、日本旅館の良さを残しています。

森の中のサウナでアロマの「ロウリュ」が良かったですよ。
また、夕食、朝食を部屋で中居さんが配膳してくれました。

温泉もお部屋もお料理も素晴らしいです。別注で金目鯛のしゃぶしゃぶをいただきました。絶品でした！温泉プールで泳いだり、低温サウナでまったりできます。20年前ぐらいに利用して今回再訪です。またうかがいたい！

温泉と温泉プール、サウナどれも素晴らしくカップルから家族連れまで、冬も楽しめます。ラウンジで淹れて下さったコーヒーも美味しく、サービスがとても良い…建物には古さはあるが掃除が行き届いていて気持ちが良い。
下田1番の宿です。

平日は空いてて貸切みたいに使えました！週末もそんなに混まなかったので居心地よかったです。
貸切風呂があるのでカップルでも入れます。
とにかくフィンランド式のサウナが最高！
すごく管理が行き届いてて、接客も親切です。
車なくても行きやすいです。

伊豆方面へはなかなか行く機会がなかったけどとても良かったです
久しぶりの晩ごはんも朝ごはんも部屋食でゆっくり出来ました
部屋の内風呂も温泉だったので堪能出来ました

特別な日に、特別な人と行く、No.1の旅館です。
人生No.1の宿と言っても過言ではありません。

まず、旅館に到着すると、石畳の駐車場へ中居さんがお出迎えしてくれます。
中に入ると、古く奥ゆかしい香りが漂い。「清流荘に来たな」と思わせてくれます。
客室も、言葉では説明しづらいのですが「最新の古さ？」といいますか、とにかく清潔感しか無い古さを感じます。

夕食はコース料理、全てが素晴らしい日本食。
ここで知った麦焼酎「情け嶋」は、今でも注文して飲むほど気に入っています。

清流荘は、なんといっても庭の温泉プール。
夜に入っても、冬場でも暖かい、最高のプールです。夜はとてもロマンチックで、無になれる空間でした。

日本で初めて導入した？と言われているテルマリウムも、今のサウナブームの方々も知るべきのサウナです。

清流荘でしか体験できない。そんな事ばかりのリゾート施設です。(正直、秘密にしておきたいと思うほどです。)

これからも、大切な日に、大切な人と行かせていただきます。末長く営業して欲しい。
