Shimoda Prince Hotel

Location is great if you’re planning on visiting places in shimoda. Conveniently located near the beach, wish there was a convenient store inside but you can drive to the nearest one about 2 min away. The restaurant is quite pricey and the pasta and udon we ordered was just decent. The shashimi was quite tasty and fresh. The outdoor pool was the big reason why we decided to stay here and it did not disappoint. Plenty of space to swim and was open until 9pm which was a huge plus. The staff were also super kind and professional. All in all it was a great stay, and would stay here again if we ever come back!

The draw is definitely the view & access to the beach. The rooms are a little on the rustic side, nothing wrong with them... just feels a bit outdated. If you get the breakfast included it's a good deal; a breakfast buffet with a lot of traditional Japanese breakfast items but also kid friendly food options with high chairs, kid plates & utensils. It has a tiny public bath. The dining room, bath & rooms all have the incredible view of the ocean.

A very good hotel with an Excellent View and Private Beach！！！ This is an old hotel but it keeps itself nicely and elegantly.

The room is Huge and the staff keeps it very clean. Staff is very friendly. They speak some English too.

The onsen room has the Best Sunrise View.

Warm staff and hotel. Extremely spacious plus a mindblowing view of the ocean. Overall had a great experience staying with them.

Went at a quiet time so had lots of peace and quiet with access to sunloungers etc and had beautiful weather...very restful...1st floor so room opened onto ground level outside balcony...lovely.

Beautiful location, amazing staff and great food. We enjoyed our time here and will come back again! The beaches are amazing and reminds me of Hawaii. Would recommend staying here of your in the area

A nice and convenience hotel for leisure, which completed with nice view and onsen. The room is big, clean, and helpful staff. And the price is acceptable ;-)

Rooms are a bit old. Minimal English spoken. Even the foreign looking staff only speak Japanese. So it might be a struggle for some.

I like there’s beach , too relax and good. And also hotels stuffs so kind. I want to go there one more for relaxing!
