Panoramic Flower Gardens Shikisai-no-oka

Visited early June and the flowers were in bloom. It's raining so it can be quite muddy. But the entire area is huge, and you can walk along the roads to take photos of the different types of flowers. A bit sparse, need to take from far to see the full view. Good to visit.

it's a nice set up, well maintained. take the trolley ride, or rent your own golf cart and venture out on your own.

The tulip field is amazing, full bloom, but hurry up, some of the flowers started to fall off (May 12th). Superb views of the mountains! Alpacas were fun haha, I was a bit cautious with them first, but they seemed friendly and curious and just cute, so I enjoyed my time in their company :)

Visited last September, fields were still colorful. We took the ride and they will stop at various spots where you can take nice quick pictures. Will recommend the ride if you don’t want to walk much.

We visited the farm on 23 June, there were only 2 fields with blooming flowers. Is August - September the best time? Walked from Bibaushi station around 2 km each way, possible to rent a bicycle right just outside the station

The snowy land theme park was quite interesting. We bought a tour of snowmobile for 1 hour. Firstly, we need to put on all safety equipment and dressing. Second, there was a coach briefing us on how to operate the snowmobile and safety feature. Thirdly, there was a in house staff riding a snowmobile in front and another staff riding another snowmobile tailing. We really felt very secured.

I went and visited in the middle of December with the tour. They will ask and reserve the snowmobile for us in advance.

Single riding 1 hour charged at ¥12,000. Double riding 1 hour charged at ¥18,000.

The price are also included helmet, boots and pants but no gloves and coat so wear and dress your proper clothes or bring the thin balaclava protect your face and neck from the cold during your ride.

Local guide ride very slow and safety. All rider are ride one by one. Wonderful experience ride through the natural surroundings

It’s cheaper price if compared with other countries as Iceland or Finland that I rode the snowmobile.

For family with child, they have the area for sledding board.

Colorful and picturesque blooming flower fields that stretch on top of rolling hills slopes.
The area is vast and walkable, there are options to rent self driven golf carts or join a tour.
Parking and entrance each cost 500 yen and can be paid at the machines.
There is a souvenir shop, a small coffee shop and toilets.
There is also an alpaca farm, which costs extra, next to the entrance.

I visited here because of a day tour package. You can enjoy snowbiking during winter. They will provide a safety set, including a helmet for your safety.

If you aren't a fan of snowbiking, you can go for snow sliding, and equipment rental is 200 yen. It is good for family activities.

We enjoyed our time here; it is scenic, surrounded by mountains, and you can have a photo session here as well.

Besides, there are kiosks selling baked potatoes with butter, which are a must-try food here as Hokkaido is famous for its potatoes.

We tried the regular potato, which cost 200 yen, and it tasted good.

Truly magnificent and baffling scenery. Went on a sunny day in October. During October there's free admission. You can rent a bike right next to Biei station. You can also rent a quad bike and golf cart to travel around the fields faster.

Heaven for flower lovers where one can see hectares of flower fields. Take Biei view bus pass at ¥4000 per person & it includes entry to this attraction plus visit to the waterfall, blue pond & look out. Can be booked online but must be 2 days ahead. Tractor fare is ¥500 not included, can be bought at entrance

We went at the end of September but there were still a lot of fall flowers. We were worried that there wouldn't be anything to see, so it was very impressive how they meticulously plan for flowers to bloom for as long as they can.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful to see long stretches of flower fields. Flowers are seasonal so you will find sections which are totally in bloom and some sections just being planted. There is an Alpaca farm inside, do watch out for it, they do have a small ATV and also an option for a helicopter ride :) Had a great experience overall!

Came during an off peak season where entrance fee was free for all visitors

1. You could just stroll yourself around the area and it's really quite chill.

2.Will be tough for elderly to get around as it's all loose gravel and slightly steep. However for the most folks shouldn't be a problem

3. They still keep a decent amount of flowers for the visitors during off peak - not too bad

The flowers weren’t in full bloom yet when we were there. There are options to rent a buggy (if you have a driver’s license recognises in Japan) or riding a trolley pulled by a tractor. The space is fairly large, with some uphill along the way. Pay extra to feed alpacas. Helicopter also available (but pricey). The tractor ride stopped on the uphill to allow pictures overlooking the flower hills, which would have been breathtaking if all the flowers were in full bloom.

Worth visiting despite the 500 jpy parking fee and 500 jpy per person entrance fee. They have a massive garden. There are different angles one could take pictures and enjoy.

We came in early October and most of the fields were still in full bloom! The area is walkable so there is no need to take the tractor tour unless you want to or have mobility issues.

Nice weather but early June is not the blooming season yet. No admission fee in june. Right place wrong time😅
