Nakayama-dera

This beautiful temple complex is a great place to visit to see some gorgeous temples, a pagoda and to have a walk around the gardens uphill. The temple is specifically for childbirth and blessings of babies. There is also a beautiful two-page goshuin available here.

Though light source was not so favorable yesterday because of cloudy condition, the plum flowers are on the way to full bloom at 75 % activity. I'm worried about heavy rainfall not to blew away gems. Better find out good timing to catch impressive pics waiting for fine light condition.

Large temple complex with lots of interesting beautiful buildings, accessible (escalators), must be beautiful both during sakura and red leaves season… temple seems to be devoted in part to newborn babies; young parents come to have their babies blessed

This is a lovely temple very close to the station. It has a great looking temple and a beautiful 5 storey blue pagoda. In spring there is a plum blossom grove located on site that is lovely to walk through and generally enjoy. Highly recomend a visit if you want a less touristy, working temple close to Osaka.

This is an amazing Buddhist temple complex that’s just a two or three minute walk from the Nakayama – Kannon station. Be prepared to spend at least two hours walking around and enjoying.

Great place to visit and to take a nice stall trough temples.

Great for a walk, uphills, great view. Very popular for 7-5-3 celebrations, one-month newborns blessings, maternity protection belts. The street leading to the temple is cute, small shops. A nice okonomoyaki restaurant.

One of my favourite temples in japan!

Nakayama temple is the one of most accessible historical place for any people in Kinki metropolitan area, because of its distance from the Hankyu Takarazuka line and there are both a lift and elevater.

I learn here many things about japanese culture and I want to thank my japanese elders for this. It was my second visit to Osaka Japan. During I got chance to spend some times with japanese people especially teachers of my sister. So those very kind people took me to visit this temple which is a great temple of Lord Gautam Budha. Here you can see and feel the culture of Japan their hospitality kindness humanity and lots of things.
