Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu

This is the third of the Tokyu hotel chain we stayed at and the experience we had was the same with first two. We're very happy we got the room with a view of the temple garden, and a chance to sit by the window in the dining area for breakfast. We also love the efforts to be more eco-friendly. I recommend waking up early for the breakfast as the dining area can get quite crowded.

Great hotel for a reasonable price. The room is big enough and stylish. We liked it a lot. Also the lobby has a great view as it is located on the 16th floor.
I would go there again.

Nice and quiet hotel, 10-15 walk to Namba along the busy and vibrant shopping street, so it kept you busy with variety of shopping and food choices.. 2nd stay here, highly recommended! Room is not totally sound proof though you can help someone plugging in to their device from the next room, or open their door.

Location - excellent; close to metro lines and several key shopping and attractions; extremely accessible if paired with Osaka Pass
Rooms - clean, excellent bathroom facilities, stylish
Value - booked for less than $90 CAD per night during slow season (Jan)

We booked two nights at the Osaka Excel Hotel Tokyu and wish we stayed longer. The room was bigger than other hotel rooms in Japan. The hotel was clean and the location was perfect for us. Would stay here again. By far the best hotel we stayed in.

The location was great! It’s close to train station, luxury boutiques next to it is Starbucks and a pastry shop. The staffs who assisted me was nice and they speak English good. The room we’ve got was Japanese style and surprisingly so nice, we loved the room.
Like what the other reviewers said about their BAR was a bit frustrating because the bartender said that they close at 12mn and yet he didn’t inform us that the last order was 9:30pm hence we were just there he didn’t give us a heads up.
Over all the hotel itself is great and 👍👍. The BAR they need to extend the time for it.

It's a 5minutes walk from Honmachi Station, and 1 train stop away from the shinsaibashi shopping street.
Rooms are big (for japan hotel room standard) and clean. Basic necessities are also provided. Shower jet stream is strong. Would recommend.

Very nice hotel... near metro osaka around 400meters. But no shopping mall around hotel. But room very nice. Not to big but ok. Have a bathtub. Clean and nice

Hotel was located within a 3 minute walk to Honmachi station and 10-15 min walk to Shinsaibashi. The area was also quieter than Namba and felt more like a business district.

I stayed in a Japanese twin room and it was spacious for Japanese standards. The room was thoughtfully designed with the user in mind and i especially loved the toilet area which has separate areas for the shower, toilet and sink. Shower area was super spacious too and had a bath tub and shower space which was a nice change from the usual tiny Japanese hotel toilets.

The beds and room were also comfortable and I had no issues with the stay. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to request for a room facing the main road instead of the temple as the gong sounds at 7am every morning. Hotel also doesnt allow early check-in unless you are willing to pay for it.

Great location: close to the train station, quieter area but plenty of available passing taxis, walkable to minami sites. Fantastic large bathtub and reasonable amount of room space. Easy to find with clear English signage guiding to 16th floor reception.

The room is comfortable & adjacent to the tourist attraction areas & walking distance to subway station.Most importantly, there have coins laundry room for self service in the hotel each floor

Easy check in process guided by the staff. Great facilities, very accessible location, room was spacious and the bathroom was great! Loved the stay here!

Close to station, great staff and very accommodating. Steer away from the restaurants in the hotel as they are very overpriced for mediocre food. The lobby is also on the 16th floor and 2 elevators are required to get to a from the hotel room but it’s not that bad of a walk.

I’m really recommending this hotel especially vacation with family. Hotel room is spacious, nice breakfast, easy check in and check out , good location,

The hotel was beautiful. The room was amazing. The service was exceptional. In our 14 day trip in Japan, it was easily our favorite hotel. I would stay again 👌

The room is really good but there’s no late-night food.
The bar close so early that has no chance to use it.

My wife and I had a two day stay here - spacious rooms (not always a given in Japan), friendly staff, reasonably priced and excellent location too.

New hotel everything is new. Location wise, it's within the shopping district of Shinsabashi and close to many different restaurants. If you travel with lots of luggage it is a little cumbersome using the metro to get to the hotel. However, once you know your way it becomes very easy.
Rooms are big and beds are comfortable. I stayed in a triple room with my family and have enough space for 2 large suitcase plus room to move around. I particularly like the bathroom, it comes with a bathtub if you want to relax or the shower to freshen up. The bathroom is big and comes with everything you need.
Staffs are friendly, and are good in English. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Osaka. Recommended
