Washinomiya Shrine

Beautiful shrine. I came here because of Lucky Star, like many other foreign fans.

It is very much still an active shrine, as I saw people praying inside the shrine.

It's pretty remote, requiring several train transfers. It would really help if you know some Japanese, because the trains are entirely in Japanese, with no English translations, once you leave Tokyo. I would recommend it if you are a Lucky Star fan, or are just into shrines in general. But otherwise, this place is pretty remote, as I've said, so I'm not sure if I would recommend to others.

It's a nice place to visit. A solemn place. The view is good. Unfortunately at the moment the Shrine is under construction

Come for the anime, stay for the scenery. This is a sacred pilgrimage location for Lucky Star, and is canonically the shrine at which Kagami Hiiragi is a shrine maiden. On the street leading to the main entrance, there is Lucky Star signage on the lampposts, and there are many anime-themed ema in the shrine grounds.
In addition to the elements of anime motif, the shrine itself is a beautiful location, in both appearance and feeling. The main building is in the open, but there are also smaller buildings in the surrounding forest; the forest has several walking trails. On some visits, it may be possible to hear traditional instruments being played from inside the main building.
It may be a tad remote for some travelers, but this location is undoubtedly worth the visit- irreverent of watching Lucky Star or not.

The shrine has a long history in Kanto region. Especially its traditional ritual dance performance called "Kagura(神楽)" has been well-known. In 2007, Japanese emperor invited Denmark King to show the Kagura. thus the shrine has an ancient and honorable origin. However the fans of famous Manga "Raki Suta", visit to the shrine, add a new color to the shrine In a positive way.

Came due to my love of Lucky Star, but this place is so peaceful.

This shrine has old history. And it was used in the comic named "Raki Suta."

One of the oldest shrines in the Kanto region. The place is well-loved by the people and holds some of the most important festivals in the prefecture

A very nice shrine. It's an important holy place for otaku as well. There's a lot of drawn ema of lucky star. The beautiful toori at the entrance has fallen last year unfortunately but it's still a very nice shrine totally worth the visit

The Washinomiya shrine is the oldest shrine in the Kanto region of Japan. It's a good sized shrine with a nice wooded area to explore to the rear of the complex. I've visited twice and liked it both times. As is usual at most shrines and temples, you can pay a modest fee to have a goshuin added to your goshuin book.

If you're a fan of Lucky Star, the anime, then this is the shrine that influenced the one in the show. At the time of writing, the iconic Torii gate had collapsed before I came here. Luckily, I had seen it on a previous visit. I hope that it is repaired or replaced but that didn't put me off coming back this year and I'd be happy to come back again in future. There are lots of anime related Emas to be seen so this is obviously a popular spot still.

Very popular and has a long history. We usually come here every year.

鳥居横に駐車場あり。埼玉県では氷川神社や三峰神社に次ぐくらいの大きな神社。境内は思いの外広い。社殿奥に摂社末社のある森があって散策できるようになっている。鷲宮神社の特長の一つが特異な形状の社殿。拝殿の裏に本殿が2つあり、しかも建築的にも配置的にも左右対称でない極めて異例な造り。きっと由来があるのだろうが御由緒書きがなかったので詳しい事はわからず。あとアニメの聖地なのでイラスト入りの絵馬が多く見ていて楽しい。

2024年4月参拝しました、広くて沢山車が停めれる駐車場があります。鳥居の近くにはらき☆すたのマンホールもありました。御朱印は書き置き【1000円】と直接【500円】書いてくれるのがありました。お守りには鷲がデザインされているのもあり種類も豊富です。トイレは全て和式です自販機もあります。素敵な神社に出会えました!

いつかお参りしてみたいと思っていた鷲宮神社に天気の良い週末を利用して訪問。鷺宮と間違えそうになりながら久喜駅経由で鷲宮駅から徒歩10分といったところ。
イメージほどらきすた感はないなと思ったらブームから15年も経つのならそれはそうかと納得。神田明神始め各地の神社アニメ聖地のはしりみたいなものだったものね。
関東最古の神社だけあり広い境内や神楽殿など見どころはたくさんあった。

当社は、天穂日命、武夷鳥命、大己貴命を御祭神としています。
当社の境内地は、縄文時代や古墳時代の住居の跡が見つかっていることから、古くから開かれた場所であったことがわかります。
当社が記された最も古い歴史書として、鎌倉時代の『吾妻鏡』があり、その記述から源頼朝や執権北条氏からの尊崇を得ていたことが知られています。
その後、室町時代になると下野国守護の小山氏や古河公方足利氏、小田原北条氏などの保護を受け、徳川家康からも四百石の領地を与えられました。
このようなことから、当社は今も多くの文化財を所蔵しています。

しばらく行かないうちに新しい立派な鳥居が建っていました。
正月の時期だったため、賑やかで活気のある雰囲気が良かったです。
新しい部分と歴史ある部分が融合されて良い気が流れているように感じました。

関東最古と言われる、お酉さまを祀っている神社です。以前はひっそりとした神社でしたが、ここ最近はらき☆すたの影響で、参拝に訪れる人もかなり増えています。
今年は、方位除が八方塞がりでしたので、ご祈祷に来ました。

初めて参拝しました。なんだか鎌倉時代より前から続いてるとか…格式高い神社のようです。
境内にはいくつもの神社がありました。全て拝見させていただきました。その中で二つほどお参りしました。
裏にの方は森になっていてその奥にも神社があります。
なんかパワーいただきましたーー😁
