Liked the view and size of the room, just a little too humid ( because of the weather)
However the onsen was really perfect, 10/10, have to do it again, it was very meditating!! And they sell some nice and sweet grapes from local farmers!😋 their dinner is also very nice too!! (Recommended the sashimi and crab leg)

The staff are professional and very helpful. The rooms are average but nice. Absolutely no complaints, and I definitely plan on going again next year.

We didn't stay at the hotel but just visited it for the public onsen... And WOW!! The most amazing view of any onsen in Hakuba (believe us we tried 7!) For a good price, very clean and aesthetically designed stone pool, able to stand naked in the snow or rain. Also has $1 massage chairs. Only downside is a long walk to get here and no other way unless your staying at this hotel. Well worth the hike on an off-ski day!

The service of Hakuba highland hotel was highly recommended. We received warm service from on Jan.15 2024.

They did their best to arrange our pick up service to station when there was no available taxies in the early morning. We appreciated it a lot , especially under cold and snowy weather.

Thanks a lot for

Amazingly delicious food, try the steak and onion sauce and the tempura. White wine was dry and delicious. Do not worry if the bar staff are slow with your drinks during the nomihodai, you will have enough. Queue starts early for the restaurant but there is plenty of food , do not rush. Breakfast was great. Very delicious. Charshiu pork and kiwi smoothie were great. The onsen were amazing with a superb view of the mountains. I could have stayed there a king time. The rooms were great and comfortable with a view if the mountains, we had room 402. Near the lift though that gets busy at 5am when the onsen opens. Not far to drive to see the ski jumps, people were practising or the alpine line to get to the tarn in the mountains, though not as dramatic as the lake district ones, sorry Japan! :) Loved our stay but glad to leave as my waistline would have suffered with alk that delicious food. You can also go to the onsen for free after checkout. Here is the sunset view from our room.

This was the most amazing 5 star quality hotel that I have ever stayed at. I travel alone to rate hotels and snowboard the best mountains in the world on a budget. 22 nights wasn't enough at this place. If you love the softest fresh snow... and1998winter Olympics presidential view window...also free breakfast..free firsts or lastfree shuttle bus that will pic you up and drop you off at any of the 6 most softest massive mountains in the world..and also if you want to meet the most respectful and kindest people in the world. You will love this place.

You can enjoy seeing Amazing mountain view from ONSEN and restaurant. They serve you friendly with delicious breakfast and dinner in buffet style every time. Even though you want to try eating all the food, it's almost impossible because it's too many kind foods!

I went here to enjoy the onsen. It was a nice, simple onsen (Japanese hot spring) with a good view of the mountains in Nagano. It really is a beautiful view. It has all the basic amenities you need and also includes conditioner, a blowdryer, cutips, and a sauna as other notable amenities. One thing to be clear about is this is an onsen, so going into the baths naked is mandatory. Some white guy was wearing his underwear in the bath, which isn't sanitary. I'm not sure if he asked permission first, but even asking is often met with a denial of such a request, so I suspect he didn't ask before wearing his underwear. DO NOT WEAR UNDERWEAR INTO THE BATHS!!! The hotel also has a good shop and other amenities that I didn't get to explore, but overall it had a nice atmosphere about it.

Amazing views, the buffet dinner and breakfast were awesome and meant we didn't have to go trekking it after onsen to find somewhere to eat. Rooms clean and tidy
