Dazai Osamu had been here, you can enter the room where he stayed at with Tomie Yamazaki.
They had seat and some good place for you to stand and look around outside.
Taisho vibe, an antique machiya.
Price is cheap imo for a good service and splendid place.

Beautifully preserved former residence/ryokan that hosted many famous guests such as Osamu Dazai and Yukio Mishima. It features Japanese and Western-inspired interiors, Roman-style baths and a landscape garden. It also hosts exhibitions by local artists and photographers. Despite visiting on the weekend it was not crowded at all. It is a lovely place to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

Do the dry flower art here for only ¥250, it was a lot of fun.

Nice tourist attraction in Atami. The location has really fragile glass so be aware of this if you need support walking or have kids that like to run around.
The garden was beautiful & has some pretty large koi fish that must be over 50 years old.

Must visit. Beautiful old house / inn. There's a music room where they have concerts sometimes, so check the schedule!

Beautiful Japanese garden, not so crowded! You can visit traditional Japanese house and the garden. A must to visit during your stay in Atami.

This is my second visit to Qiyun Pavilion. Dazai Osamu, Ozaki Eiichiro and other great writers stayed here before! In addition to retaining the appearance of the hotel at that time, the luxury and grandeur of the hotel at that time can be seen from the magnificent garden and elegant glass house.

Much bigger than I thought, used to be a mansion for a rich entrepreneur. Very lovely design, with a lovely garden and the many Japanese styled rooms are with poetic names, and matching atmosphere or sceneries.

They have guided tours to walk you through, but you can also do it yourself. They also have a portable charger you can rent to charge your items

A beautiful historic place with a nice cafe where you can chill out. Great vibes and honestly the best matcha I've ever tried.
