Manas International Airport

Small, but very nice airport. I found nice souvenirs and Kyrgyz honey. Unfortunately I purchased honey after I checked in my luggage, but the aeroport staff was very kind, they brought my bag back and let me put the honey in the checked-in luggage! The duty free has a great choice of Kyrgyz traditional souvenirs too.

Cosy, not very big, clean, renovated airport. The check-in, passport control was quite fast. On arrival, best to buy a sim card from MegaCom, O! operators. They have good plans including unlimited internet data for about 2.3eur (220 som) for 7 days. For an unlimited month it cost about 450-550som. A good price from Manas Airport to Bishkek is about 500-600 som (6eur), ~35km. Best to pick-up a Taxi using local apps, like Yandex Taxi. Avoid "local" airport taxi drivers, they may charge you up to 1000som. They aggressively hunt you right on exit. There is a no. 380 bus that drive you to the city with 60som, about 0.5eur, once in 15-20min. The cards, especially for taxi, are not widely accepted. You can get some cash on arrival, there are a few ATMs. Overall it was a nice experience in Kîrgîzstan.

I was here for three weeks in 2009 while in route to Afghanistan. It was a beautiful area at that time. Beautiful country and great people! Pete's Place was the best!

Good and small old Soviet airport

A good airport. A small one. Everything is clean around . Sanitary standards are observed. Local taxi drivers are a bit intrusive .

Old-fashioned airport but very functional.

Probably the cheapest duty free when you first came inside, small, but nice.
People working there are nice and helpfull.

Also if you are just arriving, after passport checking you can buy a small sim card with unlimitade Internet for a month and the price is 5 eur.

I had a very good experience at this airport, especially the immigration was so swift.

Perfect sevice, enough space depends on Corona regulation and friendly staff

Very nice and friendly officers. The weather outside the airport is just AWESOME! loved it

Writing this on 1st April 2021. As situation improves a lot more flights have been announced lately. Most busy hours from 2am to 5am. Airport seems to handle well increasing flow. You may experience some queuing but it moves quickly. Didn't wait more then 10 min in any line.
A lot of construction going on inside the terminal.

It's really defense on what was your expectations. You are not visiting America!!.
Over all I liked the Manas Airport. It's really simple and staffs are friendly and welcoming. There are currency exchange shop, gift shop and coffee shop. It took 30-40 minutes from City of Bishkek downtown.
