This is the place that trained and educate future priests for the Diocese of Kandy. Theplace is called minor seminary. Young Roman Catholics from all over the country who are willing to serve the catholics in Kandy Diocese can apply to a prirst and get trained here as beginners and when they are trained must face an examination to enter the major seminary which is also in Kandy. The major seminary is open for all juniors that come from all minor seminaries of the country. Those who get through the major seminary entrence are then trained at Intermediate Seminary at Palathota,Kaluthara for one full year.
