We loved our two night stay here! The staff are all so helpful and welcoming and the food was wonderful! The hotel organised a three wheeler to take us around Colombo, the perfect way to get a sense of this vibrant city.
We would stay here again!

We recently hosted my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday party at Maniumpathy, and our experience was excellent.
We planned the entire event from the US, and the management team, led by Mr. Koshita, along with his staff, were incredibly attentive and responsive throughout the process. They provided us with detailed videos of the venue and décor options via video and text, which was especially helpful since we were not in the country.

On the day of the event, everything exceeded our expectations. The host staff was attentive and addressed our every need with diligence. I would highly recommend Maniumpathy for any and all of your celebrations.

Beautiful small hotel in the centre of Colombo. The service was incredible, the food was spectacular and we cannot thank them enough for such a beautiful stay. Sadly we only stayed one night but we have recommended the hotel to everyone we know!

Exceptional staff and location for business meetings in Colombo. A few rooms, wonderful service and peaceful garden in the heart of the city. A must stay with history and culture that is the best of Sri Lanka.

I have the pleasure of regularly dining at Maniumpathy. And by regular, I mean at least weekly! Their courtyard restaurant sets the bar high in both food quality and customer service, distinguishing itself as one of the finest dining establishments in Colombo.

The ambiance, tasteful decor, and tranquility create a perfect setting to unwind amidst the city clamor. The staff always exhibit genuine care and attentiveness; thankful especially to the manager, Shannon.

The menu isn’t extensive but is the perfect volume so it doesn’t leave you confounded with choices. Features western cuisine to some Sri Lankan dishes. Common across all are consistently fresh, high-quality ingredients, beautiful presentation, and, most importantly, sabor 🤌

I came to Maniumpathy for dinner. The odiyal kool (traditional Jaffna soup) was the best I've had in Sri Lanka. The thali with hoppers was also amazing. The level of service is impeccable. Kuruppu was our waiter and he was very attentive, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend Maniumpathy.

We had a wonderful couple of nights at this lovely welcoming hotel. Everyone was so kind and helpful and we felt so well looked after. Our room was perfect with a wonderful bathroom and the food was fantastic. They helped us organise Tuk tuks when we needed them including one for a tour of the city - nothing was too much trouble. Can’t recommend highly enough.

My first visit to Colombo and though a business trip...I was offered this as an accommodation... let's break my review to parts for analysis...

1. Staff

Super courteous and friendly whether it's the head butler or person doing the cleaning... they would rush to help you even if u don't ask first... my very heavy luggage inspite of my insisting to help was handled by them only...

2. Food

I had only chance to have breakfast there...and they offer a small but excellent menu... I would strongly recommend you to try the curd with granola and fruits... I tried the srilankan omelette with a basket of breads offered by them... The juices are also worth trying...

I did see a lot of forigen population out of lunch and dinner here and presume this to be popular with them and rightly so...

3. Room

The rooms are very very classy and cozy... The bed are quite comfortable...neat and clean bed linen...The washroom and shower are unique experience

4. Hotel property

An old house now turned to hotel by owners is not vast but big enough for ones comfort....open spaces are rightly distributed...

A small swimming pool sits inside but would be designated as small only...

5. Location..

Not a right judge for this as I was on business and had specific places to visit but the place appeared to be quite in center of city...

Over all a great place to stay....

Maniumpathy is excellent in terms of food, customer service and the atmosphere it brings out when you dine there.

The staff was really friendly and very accommodating. The food came out quickly and tasted great. We enjoyed our time there and celebrated our friends birthday. She was really glad we picked Maniumpathy because of how much fun we had! The boutique hotel is beautifully decorated and we will all be visiting very soon.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Maniumpathy boutique hotel. The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The ambiance was charming, creating a relaxing and luxurious atmosphere. The place itself was stunning, filled with historical character and tasteful decor. And let's not forget the food – it was a culinary delight, with a diverse menu that left my taste buds thrilled. I highly recommend Maniumpathy for a truly exceptional and unforgettable stay.

hotel in the center. Very quiet, rooms are spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. The breakfast is great and the diner and lunch too. Staff as the manager paul (?) are all kind and nice. I would add more candle or flowers (receptions or restaurant) but it’s a suggestion. Again thanks

Had a lovely 2-night stay at the Master room. It was a very relaxing, intimate & classy colonial experience to end our Sri Lankan tour. Shannon, Kuruppu & all the staff were immaculate & provided a personal touch to our stay. Definitely coming back soon. If you want to feel stately, this is an accommodation not to be missed! And, the food…super yums. We had the crab curry 2 nights in a row cos it was so good.

It’s a small boutique hotel and a beautiful one at that. All the major tourist attractions are close by. They maintain the rooms very well. The food is great, we only tried the breakfast but that was good too. Although it’s in the city, it’s very quiet and peaceful. The staff is very very friendly, helpful and nice.

Great place for family gatherings or stay and relax . Wonderful customer service and support. Place is clean and beautiful. There are antiques all around. Fans also old ones which given us to see how awesome is the past. Food is delicious. Green surroundings. Parking is kind of an issue with limited space. Small pool is there. Go and experience the awesome service and food. Close to Public parks, Galle Face green, museum, super markets, hospitals, bus stops, Fort railway station and many more. Thanks

My room was spacious and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, and a large bathroom. One of the things I appreciated most was the attention to detail - there were plenty of thoughtful touches throughout the room, from the plush bathrobe to the complimentary snacks and beverages.

In terms of amenities, the hotel had everything I could have wanted. There was a gym and fitness center, as well as a spa and salon for those looking to indulge in a little pampering.

An idyllic hidden away colonial villa run by gentle, efficient people. A haven away from the bustle of Colombo - can’t wait to go back for the eggs Benedict in particular.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of colombo. The grounds, building, rooms, furnishings in the rooms, even small details like the napkins and cutlery are all immaculate and uniquely styled. Luxurious beds, linen, roll top baths etc. It felt like a real treat to stay here. The staff are very pleasant, polite and attentive. The Jaffna theme runs throughout the building, even the receptionist seemed to really take pride in her work wearing a beautiful Jaffna style sari, which I don’t think was mandatory, each day. The food is amongst the best in Colombo with the Jaffna Thali (selection of curries) being the best I’ve had in Sri Lanka. All of this is accompanied by some interesting posters and paintings on the walls in the communal lounge area explaining the rich history of the place. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a more bespoke luxury hotel experience in Colombo.
