Desaru Mini Zoo

I love the place. A good experience for young kids to handle n feel the small n young animals. Close to 35yrs to be able to carry a chick on my hand again ^_^

The feeling of the duckling nibbling at my palm for the dry food felt very nice ^^. Ha i enjoyed more than my kids.

Nice weather makes everything nice. My son enjoyed the horse/donkey ride.

Hope the organisation could have a vet doc to screen the animals. Seeing some having infection.

It was such a blast to visit this place!! As it stated it is indeed a mini zoo with many different cute animals. The staffs were interactive and friendly while encouraging us to touch the animals with care. I recommend anyone with children to visit ☺!!

Ideal for family with young kids. They have helpful staff that keeps a lookout for interactions between animal and visitors. Petting and feeding experiences with animals was fun. Rm20 for a bucket of food, feel like they could give us a bit more mini corns, there were only 5 pieces.

A worth place to go if you are in desaru, especially if you have kids. The entrance fees is RM20/person, you also can buy the food to feed the animals for RM20/bucket. They have peacock, fish, alpaca, rabbit, raccoon, goat, cow, chicken, swan, horse, camel, birds, skunk and many more. They also have many varieties activities to do such us horse riding, tank riding, ATV ride and ofcourse you can feed the animals. Our kids really have a great time here. You can have drinks and meal at the cafe. The amazing part also they got young staff that really friendly and helpful.

We had a real blast here. Kids really enjoyed feeding and watching the animals. At first, we didn't expect the place really has diverse types of animal. But it actually offers lots of animals to see as well as activities for kids.

Its no suprise how this place was able to get 4.9 stars after so many thousand reviews.

1) Reasonable Price - RM20/Person >3 YO, RM20/basket of fees for Animals.

2) Friendly staff who are very engaging and passionate. Able to provide information like if we can touch the animal or not or what feed is suitable.

3) Decent variety of animals for the entrance fee paid

Weather was obviously hot but plenty of shelter with seats! Highly recommended

I recently visited Desaru Mini Zoo and had an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff who were eager to help and provide information. The zoo is beautifully maintained, with clean pathways and well-kept animal enclosures.

One of the highlights of my visit was the diverse range of animals. From camels to ostriches, each exhibit was thoughtfully designed to mimic the animal's natural habitats. It was clear that the animals were well cared for, and it was a joy to see them so active and healthy. It was both fun and educational, making it a perfect outing for families and animal lovers alike.

This mini zoo is very well organised and very suitable for family and friends.

The entrance is 20rm per pax and u can pay 20rm for a basket of foods which can be fed to most of the animals in the zoo. And they even tell you which animals can eat what! Amazing!

You can pet, feed, touch most of the animals there, can go into the cages! Very hands-on and very interesting!

my girl is enjoying so much…it’s a bit far from Westin or Hard Rock Hotel area (30 minutes drive), but it’s worth it…

the ticket is RM20/person, below 4 years old is free (need to show passport or ID) as a proof….

even though is small area, the variety of the animals quite a lot…the staff also very friendly and helpful…they tried to maximise the space…my girl can feed (need to buy RM20/basket), touch the animals (free) and ride the horse (RM15 for 2 rounds)…recommended for the kids…

there’s no WiFi 🛜 connection in the zoo…so, for foreigners who don’t have access or roaming data, you’ll be unable to upload or update your social media straight away…

This place will be education tour for kids. I would say this can bring the best place for kids to explore with animals. they can touch and carry the animals. 45mins from JB custom. They have a cafe there and the food is pretty nice. Entry is RM 20 to zoo.

Great place to bring the kids to see, touch and feed the animals. My kids spent around 2 hours to and having fun feeding and touching the animals. Surau and toilets available here. Spacious parking.

Very amazing place for family. This mini zoo might be mini but it is very comprehensive for its size. It also allows many interactions with most of the animals there. My kids simply loves it!

Well maintained zoo, its very clean. Staff are friendly and most of the animals are allowed to touch and take photo.
It’s definitely worth to visit and we spend 2.5 hours to walk around.

Improving over the year . Was there in June 2023. Looks newly built.
Now in June 2024, there r more improvements. Sales of cold drinks(coconut milkshake) and more sheltered/shaded seating areas are developed. There is an area for visitors to pet the animals such as baby quails, chicks, ducklings, bearded lizard, hedgehog, corn snake etc. my kids spent more than an hour interacting with the animals.

There are of course bigger animals around such as donkey, cows , ostrich , emu where u can fed them as well.

This is a paradise for children I suppose.
My daughter who is a young lady loves the Desaru Mini Zoo so much. She really enjoyed to the fullest at this zoo. We can have close contact with the cute animals. The zoo is very clean and safe and the animals keepers really take good care of the animals and they are also very friendly to all visitors. I strongly recommend Desaru Mini Zoo to parents.

Definitely worth the money. Clean and well kept animals. Plenty of opportunity to touch and hold animals like rabbits, meerkat, ferret, chicks, ducklings... Kids loving it. Advice to buy the rm20 pet food.

Worth the price, kids will love it if they love animals. Multiple sections that you can closely interact with small animals.

My partner and I had such a wonderful time exploring this little zoo. The variety of animals is impressive for its size, and it's clear that the animals are well taken care of. The enclosures are also clean and well-maintained!

One of the highlights for us was the opportunity to feed some of the animals. It’s a unique, hands-on experience that you don't always get at larger zoos!

Apart from that, the staff were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.

There’s also a small cafe on site which offers a good selection of treats for you to enjoy after exploring the zoo!

It's a perfect spot to spend a couple of hours, especially with family or friends. If you’re in Desaru, make sure to stop by—you won't be disappointed!
