Favorite town, lots of nice food, basic shopping needs and casual walk around. It’s been upgraded a number of times and still retain parts of the original feel.

If I remember correctly, this shopping mall is the three combination integrated complex with the bus interchange and condo first in Bedok Central in the late 80s

Bedok Town Centre is considered one of the oldest town in Singapore. Developed in the late 1970s to mid-1980s, the Bedok Town Centre provides a glimpse of an archetypal satellite town, in which some 90 percent of the population live.

It is conveniently located along New Upper Changi Road, which is accessible from the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and East Coast Parkway (ECP). It is also near to the MRT station and Bedok Integrated Transport Hub.

The town centre sees plenty of shops that offer a large variety of goods and services to residents and shoppers.

In addition, there are facilities within the vicinity like Bedok Mall, Heartbeat @ Bedok, East Coast-Fengshan Town Council, and food centres. This town centre offers a hive of activities at the eastern part of Singapore.

Affordable food within the area and walking distance to the nearest MRT, Bedok.

Everything also have in this town centre. That’s why they say East Side is the best side 😆😆😆

An old heartland town. You can get everything here. Food, clothing, shoes, money changers, shengsiong supermarket, ntuc supermarket. Polyclinic, Burger King, Subway, Long John Silver, Mcdonald, KFC, and many more eateries. You can also find ABC, a supermarket that sells cheap drinks and chocolates.

It can be affordable to stay in Sg especially if one :
1. Eats at the food courts / hawker stalls which serve food like home (Chinese/ Malay / Indian
2. Travel by public transport or walk

Safe.
It is safe even to walk in a deserted undercarriage way to cross the road to buy essentials (as encouraged by my daughter and son in law and discovered it is true).

Healthy.
Health is a priority and I count my blessings to be able to have regular evening walks safely around the blocks and use the readily available exercise machines placed at strategic sections of the grounds.

Comfort
I don’t feel greasy or uncomfortable after being out and coming home. But I do tend to wash n have a shower and change my clothes because I do believe in masking, washing my hands n doing my part to be a responsible human being.

Food
I love Cho Chiat Road where many Vietnamese shops are located. I think it is my love for pho. Generally Vietnamese food is gentle and petite. I know we don’t describe food as such but I like the dishes for being so. My SIL (son-in-law) said I would love a trip to Vietnam. Hummm…

Go green
During the Stone Age, people had not much spare time for recreational activities but once they were able to settle down and became farmers, innovation n creative past-time became available. Sg is an affluent society n education and how-to’s are taught freely. I grew and harvested twice spring onions during my three weeks stay. Almost every satellite communities I ventured into has a corner or stall selling potted plants and garden accessories.

Interesting area. Lots of wet market and cheap options. I bought 3 bras for 10 dollars.

My favorite local shopping place. Food and things are cheap and good. You can see the local Singaporean culture and life style over here.

One of the best places beside Bedok Mall. Food festivals, Night Bazaar, other festive markets are well organized here.

Affordable food, definitely will be back

In the town centre you can find everything from barber shops, beauty salons, mobile phone shops, banks, clinics, to convenience stores, and supermarkets. You can get groceries 24 hours from Sheng Siong, NTUC, and there is a Public Community Centre at the bedok heartbeat.

Bedok Town Central is big and has many local stores selling household stuffs.

Great experience .. clean n good presentation. The taste of sushi is not authentic tho. Very fusion type. Once in a while it's ok. Had enjoyed my evening

I like the coffeeshop i went to have a drink.The place was clean & tidy.And i like the stall that sells different types of dishes.I have yet to try it though.I was telling my friend about it.So we have decided to go & try the dishes another day.
