What a great experience in the lap of Mount Mahabharat. The village is full of friendly and kindly people who gives smile when they see tourists in their villages. The homestay owner and his family were so so friendly and nice that i almost felt like i was at home. Yoga and meditation session felt so relaxing. Definitely I will be visiting this place again and again.

A beautiful place in the lower Himalaya range with a view on the Himalaya Mountains. The host family is very open and anyone is warmly welcome. The place is clean and the food is great. All in all it is an amazing opportunity for you to experience the local nepali life and meet new people.

I stayed for 4 days and it was an amazing experience: we climbed the mountain with Kamal's son Kushar to see the sunset and sunrise, we cooked so many new dishes with Goma and Gopani, so now I know how to make momos! It was very relaxing and peaceful, I loved everything about this house and this family.

I had the best time at the homestay of Kamal and his family. 😍 Everyone is really really friendly and welcomes you with open arms. If you’re looking for an authentic, local experience, this is the place to be. You can live in a quiet place with a beautiful view over the mountains. You can help to harvest on the farm and learn how to make a lot of traditional dishes such as momos and Dal Bhat. My highlight of my stay at Mt. Mahabharat was definitely our trek to the top of the mountain. We trekked for a couple of hours to see sunset, sunrise and the full moon and eclipse at the top of the mountain. Kamal cooked some noodles for us and we enjoyed our evening around the camp fire. I am really grateful for everything I learned and have done during my stay and would recommend everyone to make a stop at this wonderful place. ✨

Kamal and his family are very kind and cook very good food. It was a pleasure to stay with them and very affordable. The views of the himalaya are incredible and the hike to Mount Mahabharat and the Naryanthan temple are well worth it! Wish I could have stayed for longer

Kamal’s home is such a special place, it’s hard to find the words for it. Such a warm and welcoming family, the most beautiful home, incredible vego food, and every day offered a new adventure. Plenty of time to relax, take it slow, connect with nature, and to experience life in this little pocket of the world. I have already been to almost every hiking places near by Kathmandu valley but this place is just soo surreal. We planned to camp on the top to see the scenic beauty of nature and chose Mt. mahabharat Homestay to manage everything for us as we didnt want to take any burden of carrying tents n stuffs uphill.To our surprise, the management of Mr. Kamal Nepal (owner) was nothing less than any big wedding event or such. 😀 His staffs came to pick us up at Dhungkharka.His whole family seemed soo hospitable, kind,frank as if we already belong to them, yet so professional. The tent camping at 3000 meters was one of the best experiences i have ever had. Mt. Mahabharat homestay definitely knows what do u want when u go far away from the crowd of cities into the nature. As someone who is a travel freak, I definitely recommend this homestay and would visit the place once again in the near future due to the warm hospitality and kind gesture of kamal dai.

A visit to Mt. Mahabharat is akin to a to a sojourn in paradise. From the moment you set foot on the mountain it will be as if you have entered a natural wonder of the world. The views are amazing, the trails euphoric, the company divine. Everyday, at least once a day, you have the opportunity to walk outside into a literal cloud. Each step feels as if you are walking into a dream. Kamal and his family are extremely kind people who are always willing to share, teach, and enlighten visitors about their way of life and community. Since I have been here, I have felt more relaxed and been able to unwind in ways that I rarely am able to achieve in my daily life. I came here as a volunteer on their farm but the experience includes so much more than that. With a host of activities included from daily yoga, meditation, and mountain trekking to simply relaxing and enjoying the scenic atmosphere, you will never find yourself bored or unhappy here.

We really enjoyed our stay in Kamals family. The food was delicious and and also the nature around us. Everyone was welcoming. Really special place!

Each place has its charm, but I like places that have a strong energy from nature, a force that helps you make a change in your life, I have felt that here, from the love of the family, attention, culture, it is something that I feel at home and experience, the strength of the Energy of the mountain, plants and the water that comes from the mountain. There are many positive things that you can experience, I highly recommend this place, thank you for the opportunity to experience a totally renewing experience.
