Great Hindu temke on top of the hill, at Gaindakot. The ride to the temple on cable car was a great experience. The temple lies on top of the hill.
Due to high footfall, the place seems to be mismanaged and cleanliness can be improved.
Highly recommended place to visit for religious works. Unlike manakamana, it is less crowded, and easier to worship.

Been going to this temple since i was a child. Missed it when i was abroad. The spectacular view as well as the soothing sound of the bells. Amazing 🤩. However, the cable car fare is quite expensive for such a short trip.

Maula Kalika Temple, situated atop a hill, offers a splendid Hindu sanctuary experience. The cable car ride to the temple adds to the adventure. However, the site suffers from overcrowding and could benefit from better upkeep and cleanliness. Despite this, it remains a highly recommended destination for spiritual seekers.

A beautiful Kali devi ( Hindu goddess) temple located at the top a hill. We can reach there via cable car or via tempo. Cable car access is easier.

Natural short hike place.
Also, cable car is available for those who can't walk.
Trail is well-organized.

"After visiting the Maulakalika Temple, I was struck by the serene ambience and the deep sense of spirituality that enveloped the place. The temple's architecture beautifully combines tradition with local aesthetics. Witnessing the devotees' fervent prayers and the rhythmic chants left a profound impression. The cleanliness and upkeep of the premises were commendable, adding to the overall positive experience. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a blend of cultural immersion and spiritual solace."

This place is so nice. We had to walk 1800steps over the hill
But it's amazing place for me. Views from maulakalika temple is also awesome. Priests, the students ,staffs along with policeman are helpful.

It usually takes about an hour to reach on the top and half an hour to get down, stairs are really nice and made really easy to climb-up, can take Auto rickshaws 🛺 to go up for those people who cannot walk all the way through stairs from starting point in the main gate, Bike is also another options who loves to ride. At this moment, they are planning for Gondola as well, construction works are going on can see on the way. I am very excited for it☺ overall I enjoyed my journey with my sweet family🥰

When it comes about hiking and having nice point from where you can enjoy beauty around you, this place is perfect.
It took exactly 45 minutes for us to reach the top.
You don't need to carry any water bottle, there are public taps at place to place and you can drink water there.
Star fruit is something that I found unique about this place. It was sour in taste, like imily.
You can see mountain range at your North and hills and greenery all around you.

Maula Kalika temple is a famous Hindu temple of Goddess Kalika in Gaindakot town of Nawalpur district in Gandaki province of Nepal. Located on the top of the Maula dada or Maula hill on the north of Narayani River (also called Gandaki River) in Gaindakot, Maula Kalika temple is situated 561 metres (1,841 ft) above sea level.
Local people in Gaindakot have been worshipping at the Maula Kalika for many centuries before it got widespread popularity. The current temple was built in the early 1990s.
Hundreds of thousands of people visit Maula Kalika every year from Nepal and neighbouring countries. Dashain festival in September–October and in March–April are peak seasons when the goddess Kalika or Kali (also called Nav Durga, the 9 different incarnations of Goddess Kalika) is worshipped during these festive seasons.
Former President of Nepal Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, former King/Princes and High Ranking Government Officials including Finance Minister Ram Saran Mahat of Nepal have visited the temple. World-famous Yoga guru Baba Ramdev from India visited the temple in 2011. Nepal's First women president Shrimati Bidhya Devi Bhandari visited the temple on 20 April 2016 and inaugurated the temples residential facilities.
Historically, it is said that in the 16th century the King of Palpa created a symbolic offering site ("Maula") in the name of goddess Kalika after which the name of the mountain (Maula hill) was derived.
It is believed, in Hindu mythology that the Goddess Kali or Kalika also called Durga is the symbol of energy, power and new beginning.
The temple has been renovated several times by the local people. The base area has been widened to adjust for more visitors.
The temple management has lately decided to stop sacrificing the animals.
Cable car is also installed in this time which make travel more easier.

The walk up to the Maula Kalika temple was pleasant and easily accessible for many people thanks to the resting zones and toilets built at intervals of the walk. Wonderful scenery from the top.

Place is very good if you are interested in Temples.
Aa Temple is on Hill, so need to go by Auto Rickshaw 🛺 ( personal cars are not allowed). Auto rickshaw charge total 900rupees for 3 person for pickup & drop. It takes 20min approx to go to temple by Auto.
You will feel amazing in this Temple. From Temple area, top view of city can be seen.
Good for photography.
Evening time there will be Aarti.

Recommend to visit before 6pm, after 6pm you may not get Auto during Winters.
Not recommended to visit in Rainy season as hill way is not good during rain 🌧.

Fair price for the cable car ride. Lemurs in the treetops and around the stairs was a pleasant surprise and added to our experience. Nice view from the top. I wish the air was cleaner because it would have made the view so much more nicer.

It is becoming known as a spiritual center and a sacred location for the fulfillment of the requests made by worshipers and devotees before the Goddess. It is located on a hilltop surrounded by a thick green forest. Every dawn, devotees swarm the temple to worship and pray to the Goddess, who is thought to fulfill people's desires. The number of visitors to the temple has significantly increased over the past few years due to the location's increased beauty and panorama brought about by systematic prayers to the temple since 2038 BS, infrastructure improvements brought about by public mobilization, and the construction of a pyagoda-style temple in 2052 BS. Every visitor who visits the temple is delighted by the snow-capped natural beauty in the north, the holy site Devghat, Chitwan National Park, Sauraha, Tigers Top, and other alluring natural beauty seen from the temple to the north. People are also motivated to return to the temple by the people-conserved peace forest park (Banbatika), the aesthetic slate-paved path, stands, tap stands, stations, and numerous temples along the way to Maulakali.
Inspiring views from the mountaintop and the enjoyment people get from hiking through and roaming through verdant, dense forests also draw large numbers of visitors from across the nation, which helps to boost internal tourism in the region. On the journey to Maulakalika, visitors can pray to and worship Siddi Binayak Ganesh, Shree Krishna, and Deurali Devi and enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty enhanced by the forest and cool, pleasant weather.

Religiously and historically important temple and place at a great location. Can see the bharatpur municipality, hill ranges, narayani river at one side while the holy devghat dham at the other side. Can also see kaligandaki and trishuli meeting point at devghat. This place was better than I expected.

And the stone sculptures seemingly made by random artists at the steps sides on the way up was also quite impressive and interesting.

PS. Be wary of the tempo/rickshaw scammers. Be sure to ask the if they are taking you to the temple or up the hill. And also they cannot go up in rainy season. So don't bother hiring them during rainy day. They'll get you to hire them and no time later you'll be pushing the tempo on the muddy road uphill.
