I highly recommend visiting this coffee farm when visiting boquete. They do amazing work and the coffee is amazing. I also recommend the restaurant. Cesar was our tour guide and was fun, and very friendly and knowledgeable. They also have lovely accommodations to stay. Eco tourism at its best!

We stayed for 10 days beginning of August 2023. The rooms are decent sized and rustic, after all it is the old bunkhouse. There is a patio with 2 chairs, side table and a hammock for each room. Breakfast is included and it is well worth it. Great views from the patio. It is a working coffee farm, the oldest in Boquete. They have Birdwatching tours and Coffee tours that include a tasting, just like a wine tasting. There is a hiking trail that goes up the mountain all the way past the ridge to a national park. It was the most relaxing, refreshing and educational vacation we had in years. Sarah (Manager / Chef), George, Roosevelt and the rest of the staff at the restaurant prepared incredible food and treated us like very special guests. Our experiences in the dining room were really the cherry on top.

Great get a way in to the mountains! We stayed for 2 nights and wish we would have stayed for more. It’s a beautiful property. The breakfast was always delicious. My husband and I sat on the balcony of the restaurant and our kiddos were able to play and run around in the little outside valley while we waited for our food. We had top notch service from the breakfast staff as well as the dinner staff. We also went on the coffee tour which I highly recommend you do. Cesar was knowledgeable and great with the kids. We went around the property where he explained everything about the coffee, tried some fruit from fruit trees, did a coffee tasting, and ended with a cup of coffee (hot chocolate for the kids), and a dessert. Bring a light jacket because it gets chilly!! Lovely place. Great for a family but also wonderful for an adult getaway.

Took a coffee tour. It was well worth it especially if one is a beginner in the world if specialty coffee. The tour lasts about 2 hours and is well presented. The guide walked us out to the nearby coffee plantation and gave us a complete presentation on the coffee plant and the growing practices. Then we walked to the drying patio and raised beds to see different kinds of coffee beans. We also toured the mechanical drying bins and sorting process. The tour also includes “cupping”. This is the process of tasting different coffees based on varieties and different fermentation and washing methods. A really good tour to get to know about Speciality Coffee and its production.

We had a coffee tour here and it was just lovely! Fascinated by every detail they showed us, from the coffee plant to the cupping.

We did not stay in hotel, just went for the coffee tour. It was amazing. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable of the coffee, birds and plants and was so nice. The whole tour from seeing the beautiful coffee trees, the drying and processing area and the coffee tasting was fantastic. Highly recommend it. Beautiful Finca. Next time we will plan to stay at the hotel.

We had a fantastic two night stay. The coffee tour is a must do and was super informative. Even having toured plantations in other countries, I learned a lot and the tasting was great. The food at the restaurant was delicious and all of the staff went above and beyond to assist. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. Though they don’t have a heating source, the staff will light a fire if you ask for help.

An amazing place to spend a day. There's a very good restaurant with gourmet cuisine and a couple of hikes among the coffee plantations with incredible, scenic views. A lot of colorful flowers that attract a variety of birds, I saw plenty of hummingbirds right next to me.

Amazing coffee!! We did not stay at the hotel but we stopped by the Cafe twice and this place is a must see. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. The manager was there the 2nd time and we had a lovely conversation. Location is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The smell was intoxicating. Baked goods delicious. I wish I could go back right now!! We brought coffee back to the states with us. This will be a must go to on any return trips to Boquete for sure. Do yourself a favor and make a trip here! You won't be disappointed.

We stayed on a last minute offer which was very good value. Rooms were lovely and the grounds gorgeous. The waterfall walk wasn't ideal for kids with slippery bits and narrow parts next to big drops but we enjoyed the others. Breakfast was good but small portions, ditto lunch. Reception also very helpful.

The stand out was the coffee tour with Jose which was phenomenal. I learnt so much about coffee and the plants on the estate and it ended with a tasting and delicious cake. Fabulous English too, presumably thanks in no small part to his Liverpudlian wife.

I only came for lunch (I was not an overnight guest). For lunch I got the pasta with chicken, a natural process pour over coffee and the three ice creams.

The coffee was the highlight. It was very impressive and cool that the beans were grown on site. Interestingly it came in a wine glass which was a new experience for me it did help bring out the aroma of the coffee.

The pasta was good but nothing special (it was the cheapest thing on the menu and I was not expecting more). The ice cream was interesting and I quite liked it.

To top it off the staff were friendly and the view was great.

Booked a coffee tour on short notice without any troubles. Cesar was a great guide and made sure to give some extra input on the birds and flowers not related to coffee. 35$ and ~2.5 hours

☕Great coffee tour, César was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We learned a ton about plants, synergies between coffee cultivars and environment (shade, windbreaker, pest control, nitrogen-fixing, compost), varieties and ways to process the cherries (lavado, honey, natural), engineering techniques invented on premises, and the history of growing coffee in the region. Great tasting at the end. To see the workers bringing back their bags and weighing them before pouring the cherries into the processing line, go with the last tour of the day (2pm). You'll also have more time with your guide. ✨ I would absolutely recommend taking this tour. ✨

🚪Rooms are meh. As mentioned in other reviews no AC or heater, very humid. We needed to keep the windows open for cooling down the room, which means getting woken up at 5:30 by the loud birds. Walls are paper-thin, and we could hear the 3 kids/babies next door at 6:45 crying and yelling, as well as everything their mom shouted.

🍽Restaurant is overpriced, service is a bit uptight, food mediocre. I would only recommend their queso fresco with tree tomato chutney appetizer. Everything else was lacking flavor and slightly overcooked. Do yourselves a favor and checkout other restaurants in town (like TACH @ Panamonte).

🌱Grounds are beautiful, really worth exploring. You can go on a short and steep walk to a mirador overlooking the farm and hotel. Continue further in the cloud forest to a waterfall (nice overlook above it, the 5min going down to the base are super treacherous, some of the most involved hiking I've done ever, bring a hiking pole). You might lucky and spot an emerald tucanet in the forest!

Finca Lérida Coffee Farm and Hotel is wonderful place to visit at 1700m of altitude, Chiriqui, Republic of Panama. Weather is between. 17-21C Accommodations are very nice and clean. Place where you can connect with nature and enjoy great coffee and food served by wonderful staff. Many thanks to Katherine and Ernesto. I also would like to recommend a Coffee Tour with Mr. José who has great knowledge and passion of coffee procedures. Full recommend.

Need to set proper expectation for room and area. Since this is 6,000 FT elevation weather can be extremely wet and cool. Rooms has everything you need but no source of heating or AC. Service and staff great, food is great, breakfast/ lunch, all staff are very helpful. Dinner not so good and very expenses. $35 for flank steak not a value for price. Shrimp $25 for 5 🍤. Really enjoyed hiking and visit to location. Coffee plants extremely interesting be sure to take tour. A must see if you're in the area.

Wonderful place to stay and visit. We are vegan and the chef went above and beyond to give us delicious meals and a different breakfast every day. All the staff was incredibly friendly. We have stayed here a few times and always have had a great experience. The rooms are very clean and spacious, the gardens are very large, lush and peaceful, with many flowers and birds to enjoy. The hotel has multiple trails through Talamancan cloud forests which are very handy if you’re staying there with many rare birds to spot and good hikes. Perfect place for birders and nature lovers alike. We’re definitely going back!

We did not stay here at the hotel, but we did come for the bird watching tour. And it was absolutely amazing. We saw so many beautiful birds, including 3 resplendent Quetzals! Our guide, Cesar, was excellent: Providing information on the birds, plants, coffee, and the estate itself. We would absolutely recommend everyone come to see this beautiful estate, the birds, the views, and enjoy the Vulcan Baru' national park!

Stayed 1 night at this beautiful hotel/working coffee farm. Nice hiking trails, good restaurant and a pastry/coffee shop on the grounds. Coffee is made individually on order, by the cup. Large quiet room with a jacuzzi tub which came in handy after an hour and a half hike. Staff was very helpful and friendly. This entire place is very well maintained, lots of birds, flowers and plants. Easy drive from Boquete, coffee farm tours available.

Only visited the coffee shop and made a reservation for the tour the next morning. But personnel, facilities and of course coffee were first-rate. Beautifully tended property.
