Best views out of all the Philippine mountains I have climbed. It is the country's third highest mountain after all. We were lucky with the weather and were blessed with its famed sea of clouds. Life changing experience. Highly recommended for anyone willing to endure some painful but rewarding hike.

3D2N hiking experience via Ambangeg Trail.

We're lucky to have sea of clouds when we went there.

Beautiful sunset/sunrise, bring proper gears! Must try! 10/10

Great view, it was a perfect weather when we went there (stars during the night, sea of clouds, sunrise). It was raining the night before so it's a blessing in disguise!

Too cold + a bit of rain, it’s hard for me to take photo during dawn. Hike is a bit easier than mt. Ulap if you’re going through ambangeg trail

One very best sunrise in the Philippines. Also called them as a play ground of gods.

Trekking time 4 to 6 hours for the beginners.

Nice view 🥶 A lot of walking 🚶‍♂. Trees. Moss. Grass bamboos. 6hrs hike. "I'm on top of Luzon!" Sunrise. Sea of clouds.

Mount Pulag (2928 MASL) is the highest peak of Luzon and the 3rd highest mountain in the Philippines (next to Mt Apo and Mt Dulang-Dulang, both in Mindanao).

It is a dormant volcano. 🌋

The entire mountain is believed to be the home to the tinmongao spirits and is the sacred resting ground of the souls of the Ibaloi people and other ethnic peoples in the area.

Mt Pulag is the natural habitat of the dwarf bamboo and the Benguet pine. It also has many species of birds.

Mount Pulag is mainly famous for its "sea of clouds" and its view of the Milky Way which attract many tourists. On February 17, 2024 there were supposedly 600+ people awaiting those phenomenon on the peak. If crowds are not what you want to experience in the mountains, you have to avoid weekends and public holidays.

Also called the playground of the gods. This mountain offers majestic views and experience! You can also observe different floras and faunas; some of which are rare. The hike experience is one of a kind! It's quiet, peaceful, and a very eventful experience. For those who want to hike, please stay quiet and keep the mountain clean. This mountain is sacred to the natives of the area.

Great view. Too many people at the time we went since it was a holiday. Long walk and not much steep ascents. Coldest time was at the top of the grasslands just before sunrise, and the winds were blowing to the max. People and tour guides were kind and friendly. I'm happy to say I ticked another one off my bucket list.

One of the most amazing and most physical grueling experience I’ve had but the clear day was worth it!!! The Sea of Clouds WOW! The Summit? WOW!!! Since I was really slow and the climb was long, it took me 11 hours to go up and down. I was also very scared of steep places. But everything was worth it. I suggest training 3-4 weeks on treasmill with incline so you will build stamina. Don’t climb when you are sick.

Most of all, respect and love Mother Nature and Mt Pulag. Please please respect her.

Pack SUPER light by the way! Don’t be like me bringing a huge backpack 🤣

We climbed Mt Pulag in mid December. Go for the chance of beautiful views of the Milky Way and The Sea of Clouds. In good weather, the Ambuklao Trail would be easy. During our ascent the weather became challenging. Be prepared for cold and wind driven rain when you walk out of the rain forest. We began our hike at 1:30am, but there was no visibility at the summit when we arrived just after dawn. The trail became muddy and slippery as the soil became saturated by rain. Respect the sacred mountain, there is a comfort station at Camp 2. A spring nearby provides a water refill. Overall, even in bad weather it is a tremendous adventure! We enjoyed the challenge and bagging the highest peak in Luzon!

We did a day track up to Pulag. We started around 11am and we’re back around 4pm. Overall, around 4 hours of trekking and 1 hour of photos and food breaks at the top.
It’s a very beautiful place and you can see the scenery changing as you progress toward the top. It was a nice experience and we thoroughly enjoyed the hike.
Keep in mind to bring around 2,000 PHP in cash per person to pay for local entrance fees, permits, environmental fees, guide and food.
No ATM up there and no money exchange. Cash only.

A must see place at least once in your life. Getting there from Baguio is a challenge(zigzag road) but let your driver deal with that. Once you get there, its well worth the trouble. Breathtaking views and peaceful vibe at the summit will greet you. A must try for sure.👍

The "play ground of the Gods" as they call it. The sea of clouds is mesmerizing. The sun rise is really moving and breath taking, it is worth the climb. As you ascend in the Akiki trail, you will find unique species and plants. There's even a hundred- year old tree which you can take pictures with. There is a portion full of moss and another portion with grass land.

If you take the Akiki trail, it will only take you more or less 4 hours to ascend and another 3-4 hours to descend. The temperature is really cold so wearing a jacket is a must. Never leave any trash behind you.

Registration and orientation to the DENR is a-must.

I’ve been to Mt Pulag Feb 13-14 of 2020 before the pandemic hits the globe. It was a great experience because i met new friends from the south (cavite) i love nature trips, hiking etc. And i am amazed by the beautiful view from the peak of the mountain as if i’m in heaven looking at the sea of clouds. I felt proud amidst the pagod of going up, i did it. It’s all worth it ❤

I personally consider Mt. Pulag as one of the most beautiful mountains in the Philippines, therefore, you should include this on your "Must Hiked" list. It is the third highest mountain in the country and the highest point in Luzon, measures 2,922 MASL. Witness the famous “sea of clouds," a majestic phenomenon where the hikers, on the summit, are literally above the clouds.

- I suggest taking a guide or a coordinator before trekking
- The weather is very different from Manila, I advise you to be prepared for the cold (early in the morning) and the wa weather in the afternoon
- The trail is very nice, great view. Might see some cows going to up to summit.
- There was a queue for picture taking near the summit. I advise you to wait in the Open Air and wear some sunscreen
- Going down wasn't easy the trail is very rocky and steep
- 1/3 going down you will find a place to eat and a restroom
- At the end some residents offers hot shower for 50php. Do not expect hotel quality
