Baban's Homestay

Our home for a night before climbing Mt. Pulag. This place has an stunning view around the area. They have a place to chill outside and enjoy the view while having your hot coffee. I love the food they serve that's part of the package of our trip. Home cooked Filipino meals were served like sinigang na baboy, rice, fruits, veggies.

Staffs were very friendly and accommodating, the homestay was also very beautiful. You get to see the mountains and carrot farm

The facilities are great, especially their beds! I had the best sleep and their blankets were heavenly! The view was amazing and I felt right at home.

Located in Kabayan Benguet Province, very cold weather during the month of December, farmers nearby plant vegetables such as cauliflowers, cabbages and carrots are in abundance, neighboring sari-sari store sells carrot juice, carrot cup cakes and carrot ice candy. The saleslady speaks Kalanguya which is a native Igorot language. Beautiful, cozy and a nice place to visit👍

One of this best experience is the temperature was great for couples as it was cool place with a very beautiful view from farm to mountains.
Also, it was near hiking points

Very accomodating and nice people! Comfortable place with hot bathe and you need no worry on rooms as they have fleece blankets that will make you warm as you take your rest. Limited area for network coverage though. But this will let you focus more, enjoy and embrace the awesome nature itself around the area.

Stayed in here in Jan 2020 for our Pulag hike. So cozy and the food was sooooo delicious!! No heater in the transient by that time so we had to shower at the neighbouring transient.

Coffee and milo is available at the house. But there's also a nesrby sari sari store.

There's a nice tree house you can stay at while overlooking the landscape.

Home cooked meals in Baban's stay are the best. Perfect place to stay before summiting Mt. PULAG.

Baban's is a big compound and we stayed at what I think is the biggest house there. There are only 12 of us in the group and being a Friday, we were the only ones there. We were charged Php300 per person. If you want them to cook for you (limited by the available ingredients in the neighborhood), you pay Php100 per person. If you want to cook and have your ingredients ready, you can rent their kitchen for Php300. Since one of us can cook Tinola, we just bought stuff at the store and some at Baban's.

If you want to take a hot shower, it will cost you Php50. If you take it in the evening, just drop off your payment at the basket by the door. Should you forget your towel, rent will be another Php50.

Baban's is a long way from the jump off at the Ranger Station. It's about over a kilometer and the road is steep. They can provide jeep transportation in the morning. The sweet old Mama Baban didn't charge us anything but donations are welcome.

When we got back from the hike, the place is now jam packed with Sunday hikers. The driveways are filled with vans. All homes in the compound are full of guests. I suggest you book with them early to reserve your slots.

A short walk through Baban's, opposite the main road, you'll see the majestic Mt. Pulag summit.

The place is so cozy, I had a very nice sleep, no electric fan, no aircon, I just love the climate 😍😍😍😍

The owners are very accommodating. Even the food, enjoyed it a lot! 😋👌
