The Grind Cafe and Eatery, Skardu

A great cafe with a chill vibe and excellent food in otherwise dusty and noisy Skardu city with limited options. We ended up visiting twice! Food offerings are varied - something for everyone's tastes. We had the chicken wraps the first time for lunch and Chinese food the second trip for dinner. Both delicious. The dried fruit and nuts shake was the perfect pick me energizing drink after a long journey.

Highly recommend this cafe with their friendly team and owners when visiting Skardu city.

My wife and I enjoyed a cup of coffee there. It tasted nice and didn't cost much. The place looked good, with nice lights and seats. We had a good time and think others should try it too.

We had a lovely lunch at the grind cafe. We ordered chicken fried rice, chicken Manchurian, and chicken chili onion, all of which were delicious. The serving sizes are generous (we ordered the 3 entrees mentioned above for 4 adults and had some leftovers), and the prices are very reasonable. They were also able to accommodate an off the menu cheese-only sandwich for our toddler. The interior is modern and the seating is very comfortable. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We haven’t seen such a nice and hip cafe around whole Baltistan - The Grind Cafe attracted us just going around by car so we decided to stay in the hotel close by. Their Chinese food dishes are really nice, I recommend you to get the fried rice deals, it’s definitely worth the value. From drinks my favourite one was the Mint Margarita or mango milkshake (when there’s a season), I could drink both every day 🧡. But what’s even better then the food is amazing staff, everyone was so nice and friendly. Mr. Saqib gave us valuable information about the situation in the town during a religious event, also tried to help us to maintain the bike rentals… Plus, good working wi-fi at the place. We were really grateful we found the place and I can recommend The Grind Cafe to anyone who is even just stopping in Skardu 😉 We are definitely coming back, thank you for your hospitality.

I was at this place just last week. I strongly recommend this place to the visitors!! Best food, comforting environment to hang out, eat, work, or inform your friends as a meeting point. Good price, right location and ambience! And the owners' taste is great 😃 not just food but paintings, décor, and music too.

A lovely cafe in the heart of Skardu with best coffee and snacks. Perfect place for those looking for great ambiance, delicious Chinese food and a great nearby view of cold desert and the Indus river, just 3-5 minutes walk. The view is great!

Lovely cafe. The staff will look after you brilliantly and the food is delicious - try the paratha wrap and the mushroom soup (it’s their speciality!).

Awesome experience.
We tried Chinese with rice and CupCakes with coffee. We finished our whole plates and were so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it.

Real coffee, great food and super personable owners. We found it on our last day in Skardu but wish it had been our first! The grind special soup was the highlight.
