Zamek Sarny - Scharfeneck Castle

we made a stop after our stay at the mountains to start the new year and this place is magical. A coffee pause over here is recommended for the whole vibe. The sofa sitting in front of the fireplace is magical.

Brilliant! Old castle witu all that adjacent buildings being renowated. You can wonder around to your heart's content. There is a cafe open so you can get some coffee and cakes.

That’s a wonderful place, where you can find a good restaurant built into ruins, a coffee shop, and of course a nice piece of architecture that is currently under renovation. In summer time there is a pleasant chill-out zone.
Also, you can observe a stork’s nest through a telescope from inside the coffee place.

Wonderful place! Great and tasty food! Also nice options for vegetarians :) good prices. I appreciate the opportunity to observe storks from the cafe. Yummy desert!
The building where is the exhibition, is very well secured (closed windows), but sometimes look there - I managed to take out this small cutie (bird).

Very nice place. Still a lot of work to be done on the exterior but it's clear they want to keep it as historically accurate as possible.
Wonderful interior. Clean and well decorated.
Friendly staff. Good coffee and amazing cake.
Small selection of trinkets, and some books about the region.

Coming from Czechia or Nowa Ruda it may be easy to miss the turn but the place is well worth a visit.

Respect for the owner for what he has done. I saw the castle many years ago. It was a ruin. Now you can visit and have a good coffee in the cafe. The plums under the crumble are delicious.
There is a restaurant and guest rooms. Worth a visit and leave a donation for reconstruction.

Very special and atmospheric place rescued from decay of time by the generous owner. I love the way there was so much soul and heart in every detail. The beautiful castle is completely opened to public for free, which is very rare in Poland. We loved the cafe and cakes. Top class :) Will definitely revisit and sending best wishes to the owner.

Very pleasant historic place. Still in early reconstruction but it is going great and I can highly recommend it for visit if you will go around. I can't wait to see more buildings after reconstruction. Staff there is very friendly and professional and told us all about the history and future plans of Zamek Sarny. I will definitely visit again to enjoy great coffee and pastry. Good luck in the future!

Excellent visit. Very well presented history under renovation. Free to visit, this work in progress is, in my opinion, being carried out in perfect order. and the cafe is a fine place to finish the visit: friendly staff, beautiful surroundings, exquisite cake and tea for two.

A hidden gem

A charming castle with a beautiful cafe, where they serve heavenly cakes, a perfect espresso and tasty wine from a small, but carefully selected list. We loved the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and the very attentive staff.

Still in the early stages of restoration. The chapel's ceiling fresco is truly magnificent and a masterpiece. There's a great little cafe with a super friendly guy working there who can impart his in depth knowledge of the history of the castle. I highly recommend stopping here. Good luck with the long and costly restoration process - I can't wait to see the end result.

Definitely worth a visit and exploring the castle. The coffee house is wonderful too.

Great coffee and pastries located in a hidden gem in Lower Silesia. There is no sign at the entrance of the palace, BUT the café is located in a beatifully renovated entrance to the castle. The original frescos in the chapel are a plus. Really worth visiting it!

Polecam sernik dyniowy! Lovely atmosphere, large range of teas served elegantly and a very welcome fireplace on a cold November day.

Nice place with excellent service and view. Best cakes in 50 km diameter. It is worth to come from Bromouv to eat something really delicious.

A very nice place to have a coffee, wine and/or a cake. The owners are nice people and it shows - the service is friendly, quality is OK and prices quite reasonable.
