Tourist Coal Mine in Nowa Ruda

Thoroughly enjoyable experience. Although I don't speak or understand Polish, I still thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It had laughs and screams. The benefit of the cold mine on a hot day was very refreshing!

For the price of 22/30PLN you get:
History of the place with some things in a museum connected to it.
Getting in parts of tunnels which are made into tourist route (max 45 meters below the ground).
Seeing equipment in work, and trying some of it yourself.
A short drive on a train out of the mine.
A lot of jokes related to the place.

Sadly, excursion is only in polish, but even without understanding polish you will have a great time just seeing things.

Also we were a bit late for our excursion, but lady at the cash machine was kind enough to let us in 10 minutes after. Excursions are available every hour, you can check availability by phone.

There is a parking and café nearby

Amazing place where you can see under what conditions miners worked. The facility is well prepared, a lot of interesting attractions.

One of, if not the best introduction to a tourist object and coal itself. Great attraction, highly recommended to bring kids if possible!

Enjoyed the tour, incl. a short ride in a mine train. Informative, nice way to spend ca. 1,5 h.

Great mine experience for both kids and adults! Even though the first part of the exhibition inside is a bit underwhelming, once you get under the ground, it gets way better. The tour takes around an hour and is done nicely and interactively (they turn many machines on for you and you can try some yourself). The guide was super nice and even though regular tours are only in Polish, you can get texts in different languages. Well worth coming!

Very nice guide! :) He gets children involved, dozen of humour and interesting stories, easily, funny and in a good mood :)

Fantastic place we have made it for the last tour flr the day :) The guide was extreamlly kwnolegeblae and have a great touch for the tourists ;) The climate inside the coal mine was extreme and the felling of those pople worki g there gives you chills.All the machines and noises are showed during the trip w itch makes it very special expirence.The last step is a trip inside the mine train my kido loved it.Overall this is worth every penny and I will recomend for all people older and younger ;)

I took my daughter there to show her in how harsh environment her grandfather worked in the Nowa Ruda colliery. A very informative visit also for me, especially since it was possible to take mining tools in my hands and realize how strong miners had to be to be able working with them a full shift.
Lots of respect for all miners, especially those who gave life working there.

One of the best experiences in the region! You can experience a real mine, walk through tunnels and ride an actual underground train! Very knowledgeable guides! I totally recommend!
