Brilliant stay in Sighisoara. Imagine yourself sleeping in a museum :-).
I was there two weeks ago with a group of 11 friends and the unanimous decision is that even the expectations were high, the location greatly exceeded them.
What more to say? The kindness of the owners, the perfect location at 50 meters from the clock tower, the very good value for money?

One of the most beautiful and romantic boutique hotels I have ever seen! Everything is carefully arranged and there is nothing you need and you can’t get here! The apartment is absolutely fabulous, spacious and beautifully decorated! It’s a hotel you can’t miss when you visit Sighisoara! Many thanks to our hosts Silvia and Jan! ❤

Beautiful guest house, extremely friendly service, more amenities than I expected, fantastic location! Nearby parking was paid for by the establishment.

He greeted us, show us the room, offer us water. He pointed a few ways to get into the city and then he disappeared.

Rooms are good. Bed was confy. Cleanliness was not TOP like the rest of the items... having carpet inside the bathroom might not be a good idea.

Exceptional location, service, clean room. The 'feeling' in the room is like you go back in time and you are an aristocrat🙂. Really 4**** location. Congrats to owners for maintain this historical building and atmosphere.

I couldn’t recommend staying at Taschler Haus more if you’re visiting Sighsoara. The hotel is in a brilliant location and is within walking distance of everything. The room was immaculate and has all the amenities you could ask for, we were even given two free Romanian spirits when we arrived and the mini fridge is always stocked with still and sparkling water. Silvia and Jan were very welcoming and fantastic hosts throughout our stay. They say that they don’t provide breakfast, however, the free day starter they do provide is fantastic, and was more than enough for our breakfasts. They even sent us away with croissants and waters when we left to catch the train.

We had an amazing two night stay at this small boutique, location was perfect to take in the landmarks, and also visit larger restaurants, coffee shops and convenience stores on the main road. We unloaded luggage at front door then were given parking passes, we were personally met and shown around the hotel, continental breakfast provided each morning. Service was impeccable, much more thoughtfulness than we expected and a free bottle of wine for valentine's day! Thank you for the enjoyable holiday we LOVED the service, the town, the facilities. Thank you. Highly recommend this boutique hotel.

We were 5 adults, a child and a dog and stayed in a double room, a special room and a family apartment. The place is absolutely beautiful, in the best possible spot and the owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. Worth paying for the Special double rooms and the family apartments. They also offer a simple continental style breakfast for no extra charge.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at Taschler Haus. The location is perfect and everything you’d want to see is in easy walking distance. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The room itself was very comfortable and the bed was so nice I slept like Dracula in a coffin. If needing the train or bus stations for arrival or departure, each are easily walkable in under 20 minutes. A great stay. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at this boutique hotel! The owners are so lovely, and the location is perfect right beside the clock tower. It is incredibly scenic. I really recommend this place!

My family and I stayed at the Taschler Haus Boutique Hotel for one night in September 2023 while we were visiting Sighisoara from the United States. We had three rooms, and they were incredibly clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished. Taschler Haus is a historic building and each of its 10 rooms is rich with history and modern amenities, including complimentary Wi-Fi. Jan is a fantastic host, and he made us feel right at home. He is knowledgeable about the surrounding area and the must-see places around Sighisoara. The boutique hotel is situated at the edge of the Sighisoara Citadel and is within walking distance of the city center, restaurants, the citadel towers, and many other attractions. Taschler Haus also served a delicious, complimentary breakfast with croissants, fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea. We had a wonderful stay at Taschler Haus, and it’s the only place we would consider staying the next time we visit Sighisoara. Without a doubt 5 out of 5 stars!

We only stayed 2 nights in September 2021 at Taschler Haus, but it was memorable, perfect in every way. The location is ideal for visiting the citadel.

The hosts very helpful and accommodating. We were delayed by bad weather and they waited up for us. They gave us great recommandations for restaurants and places to visit.

The house and the room were simply beautiful and unique. The old, classic features of the building were preserved, while offering all the modern comfort.

The room was spotless and the bed confortable.

The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. In the room there was a welcome plate of ginger bread and cake, also two small bottles of top quality sour cherry liquor and Romanian fruit brandy.

During our visit there were fruits, orange juice and coffee in the hallway, and in the morning croissants and pretzels for breakfast.

Our only regret is that we stayed there only two days, we'll love to go back for a longer visit.

Such an awesome place! The building is beautiful, the street is beautiful (and right at the entrance of the old/upper town), the interior is beautiful...
You park in the streets below, like a resident pass I guess.
The owner seems to love the story and place and it's visible, attention for detail.
Coffee is free, there is a complimentary breakfast (although he says it's not a breakfast it was perfect: croissant, fruits, juice...).
Totally recommended!

One of the best places we stayed at on our road trip in Romania.

Wonderful hosts, the gentlemen find a parking spot and knowing we will come soon at the location he parked his car and waited for us so we will have a good, close by parking spot!(that’s service)

The location is perfect, rooms are so nice and clean. Beds are good…Plenty of restaurants around. There is nothing we missed while in Sighisoara. And the house is absolutely gorgeous. We will return!

We had a very pleasant stay at Taschler Haus. The hosts are very kind and the rooms are large and clean. We served a nice breakfast in the guesthouse's garden.

Excellence is the word. I stayed here 4 years ago and I came back here again only to have the same amazing experience. This is my only place to stay in Sighisoara. The hosts are extremely kind and care for your well being. You do not feel yourself treated like a cash machine which is so important for me. The place looks like fairytale, very well maintained, clean, and you get a proper welcome with traditional drinks, free water, pastry’s and maps with explanations for your vacation. They helped me organise a surprise for my mother in law which turned up perfect and again: thank you! Fully recommend!

What a dream spot! You can’t beat the location: steps to the clock tower and the better restaurants of this little town. Jan, the inkeep, is a generous and welcoming man. He kept apologizing that they don’t serve breakfast, except they have all the things I like to eat in the morning: coffee, tea, fresh croissants granola, fruit, and jam.

The room was perfect too— a large, Uber-comfortable bed with a variety of pillows, internet tv, complimentary liquors, and a clean bathroom. The only thing to be aware of is that this particular room doesn’t have AC. Others do. It wasn’t a problem for us, as the fall air was crisp enough to just leave the windows open. The crowds are noisy, but we brought earplugs. You can’t expect silence when you’re in the heart of a tourist Mecca. Overall, we loved this place!

Bonus: there is an abundance of sweet cats and dogs on the street out front.

Amazing place that's situated just outside of the main points of interest themselves, namely, the keep. We came over for a three night stay and we were received by wonderful people who clearly put a lot of care and effort into making us feel welcome. Great attention to detail from the hosts' side and perfect service. Apart from the abundance of toiletries offered and daily cleaning services, we were also invited to have breakfast every morning, on the house, as well as being greeted with traditional drinks upon arrival. We were given tips as to what we should visit and do around and our well-being was constantly sought after. The small details that the hosts pay attention to and the care that they show to their guests manage to generate a really delightful stay for a more-than-reasonable price. I have nothing but praises and respect for the hosts. Thank you.

Best location in town, the stairs to main attractions starting witht the clock tower are right opposite the accommodation. Plus you have free parking (what else can you ask for in a city centre).

Best place to stay in Sighisoara, in the Historic Center and near the old medieval walls of the unique last European inhabited Saxon citadel. Beautiful mansion, each room with original oak furniture and paintings which inspire the mind to the myths, legends and narrative stories about Transylvania.
The owners are warm, welcoming and open hearted people that wait guests with sweet treats and hand made cherry or plums brandy. The attention to the details, the perfect cleanliness make the visitor feel special and think about the value of the journey.
