Hotel Sighișoara

Came here only to have food at the restaurant as we stopped on our road trip in winter time, everything was closed and they are open even off season. It was beyond brilliant, the place is breathtaking, the staff is lovely and the food is so good aswell as plated up really nicely. I cannot stress it enough how good the food is along with the desserts. The look of the place is lovely and the owner took us around for a tour and showed us the view from the top, also breathtaking.

We didn't stay there but ate there twice in 2 days. This was some of the best food I have ever had anywhere. Everything was fantastic. I really wish they sold a cookbook because I know I am going to be craving their pork, German potato salad and sauerkraut, and I live in Florida.

Happily stay again! Great atmosphere. Staff was very nice. No elevator or air conditioning but this was not a problem for us during the stay. Lovely back garden dining area.

The food and the atmosphere of the inside garden restaurant were amazing. Very romantic. Our waiter was very opinionated (which we loved) and advised us against ordering boring food or too much food. My boyfriend likes to have fries with pasta but we were advised that the pasta is too big a portion and he won't be able to eat the pasta and fries. He was right!
We both had soup as starters. He had the tomato soup and I had the vegetable soup. Tasty and exactly what we needed on a chilly October evening. We wanted to go back for breakfast the next day (they open at 8am) but my parents were too eager to go back home.

We paid 125 RON without tip included for 2 pepsi max and a two course meal for two. Insane value for money.

The food from the restaurant, was delicious. We saw their menu from the alley, and decided to give it a try. It turned out to be a great decision. We tried their bean soup in bread with onion salad and the mixed grill specialty.

Incredible food quality! The waiter was polite and pleasant. We didn't stay at the hotel, only ate at the restaurant, strongly recommend having lunch or dinner there.

Good restaurant with very authentic interior design, it is located in the very heart of the citadel. Good food if you look for something traditional, great shots drinks with visinata and this dessert it is something that you shouldn't miss if you pass through here.

Amazing quality hotel. The rooms were very clean, modern and with good quality beds. The staff was also very friendly and professional. If ever back i will go here again.

The hotel is in the middle of the old town, which is great. It was realy cosy and clean. The rooms are big also. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I am a colder person and I asked about turning the heat on in the room, they have come with a solution really fast for me. Also they have recommended other places to visit and to do activities nearby. At breakfast they had some of the romanian traditional dishes, it was diverse and really good. I totally recommend this place and I return with great pleasure.

We ve only been there for a quick meal, it wasnt a peak time, there were only a few people even if it was around 6pm. Food came quickly, music was pleasant, and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the onion soup, it was yummy.

We ate here and everithing was delicios. The serving was excelent even through the waiter was hired a few weeks ago (as she told us). The waiting time was a little bit to long but it worth it. The place is situated in the old town and all the turistic atractions are near by. I will come back for sure.

Pros: Athmosfere, location in Old Town of Sighisoara, service in reception and the beautiful old building itself. Wifi also worked without problem. Restaurant in backyard is a recommendation!
Cons: Basic room furniture. Breakfast not super, but OK.

Sighisoara is a town with an impressive Citadel and within the Citadel is Hotel Sighisoara.
The whole place has the look of a medieval castle inside but on the outside it has a different more classical look.
One of the entrances goes out into the main square with restaurants, ATMs and other amenities. Outside the other entrance is the spacious hotel terrace restaurant.

The rooms are spacious and clean with no problems associated with old buildings.
Reception was efficient and helpful.

The restaurant was really good – we really liked the food and the dessert. We got good service even in the off-season, which was problematic in some other places around here.

Beautiful interior and lovely trellesed vines over tables and chairs, make for a great place to sip wine, eat and chat on a warm evening.

We went a few times at the restaurant in the back. Great southern rock music in the background, great variety of foods even for vegetarians. The staff was great.
