Restaurant La Perla

It may come as a surprise because otherwise there's nothing spectacular about this modest restaurant and pizzeria, but they have the best papanasi I've ever had! Yes, it took a long time, but it was worth every second to get that hot, freshly fried dough stuffed with delicious blueberry jam and served with sour cream on the side. Wow. Skip the dinner and head straight for dessert: an unforgettable experience!

Food was amazing. I went twice and got the chicken sandwich both times. It was phenomenal. The service was quick and atmosphere was pleasant.

Papanași was good (not really my thing), but nice to try it. 25 Ron (5 euro).

The tripe soup was good, but it was the only time I tried it in Romania so I have nothing to compare it to, and I loved the duck leg.

Good food portions. Fast service. Although the staff seemed a bit stressed, they still managed to make us feel good and did not neglect any customers. We received the menus quickly and the food shortly after. Would recommend as the prices are comparably cheaper than the restaurants on the citadel.

I wish we could give the service more than five stars because they were really amazing and so fast! The food was delicious, our pizza was served fresh and hot and cooked to perfection.

If you happen to visit Sighișoara, make sure you stop at Perla and order a portion of “Papanași” with extra sour cream and jam. It’s f-in’ delicious, I highly rate it!

Deserts were fantastic I would say tiramisu was one of best I’ve ever had.

Excellent restaurant in the old guild headquarters building. My goulash was excellent with peppercorns and bits of pickle adding interest to every bite. There were some very interesting non-alcoholic drinks and the beer drinkers in the group were happy with their options.

We had a dinner and everything was delicious. Staff are truly helpful and speak fluent English.
Their portions are huge and prices are very good.

It was a fairly good experience overall, the food was very good, portions were big and prices were okay-ish (not too expensive, not too cheap). The chicken burger was very well cooked, tasted great. So did the rabbit in tarhon sauce that my girlfriend had. The place had a very vintage look. The staff didn't really seem to enjoy being there but other than that, it was an okay experience.

I went here in 2016, decided to return when I came to Sighisoara this year. I wasn't disappointed. The service was very prompt and kind, and the food is very good at quite reasonable prices. The interior also has very nice vibes, especially the upstairs (yes, that's Ainsley Harriott on the TV, lol). Overall I'm very happy with everything here. Thank you!

Food was pretty good, environment very nice (no-smoking on the inside), service was also nice (our server spoke pretty good English). My only suggestion is PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE hire a design to redo those terrible menus - you can't see a thing in there!
