Sunrise Beach Resort

We stayed at Sunrise for 6 days and wished we had never left. Pen is the host you want to have, she goes the extra mile to ensure you have an amazing stay. Her team and her treated us like family. The resort is super clean, quiet, they can arrange different activities, such as scooter or car rental, massage etc. the breakfast is great (try the pancake!!!) as well as the other food available throughout the day. We could not fault our stay. The resort, the staff, location, food and drink and vista were all exceptional. Pen and her staff do an incredible job at making sure you feel like you’re at home. Pen organised motorbikes, airport transfers and massages for us and was always available for anything we needed. The restaurant had something special for dinner each night and was some of the best Thai food we have had. This resort is located on the East side of the island away from most tourists however everything is very accessible via scooter. Thank you very much Pen and team.

Pen and Chris made us feel very welcome and the exceptional hospitality was appreciated! We were upgraded to the villa due to overbooking and we extended our stay. It’s located on the quiet side of the island, which was perfect for us. The food is great and so is the nice pool with views on the sea.
Pen organized the motorbike rental, thai massage on the premises and also our trip to Koh Mak.
The house-cats Panda and Tiger are adorable!

We spent a few days at Sunrise Beach Resort. Although the resort is a bit far from most of the island's attractions. It is a very pretty resort, the bungalows are very comfortable and clean, ideal for people looking for peace and quiet.

A hugely peaceful and relaxing place with the most service-minded staff. The location couldn't be better, the rooms are cozy and the cleaning is spotless.

The good service is everywhere. For example, the manager Mrs. Pen let us use the bar's fridge after closing time. All we had to do was collect capsules and settle the accounts the following day. They also arranged an extraordinary snorkeling excursion to Koh Khlum, Koh Wai and Laoya islands because we expressed an interest in this.

Sunrice Beach Resort is truly a place out of the ordinary.

We had a wonderful stay in January. This place is really amazing. The Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. As it is a small place located far away from major tourist hotels it is very quiet and allows for a peaceful stay. The restaurant is also mainly for guests so everything is prepared with care and You can get recommendations. There is free water given in the rooms every day and You can buy beer/sodas from the restaurant. The sea is not as clear as in some parts of west Koh Chang, but there is a swimming pool which is great and has an amazing view on the sea. it is very relaxing and tempting to stay all the time at the resort, but You can rent a scooter or hire a Driver to explore the island and drive to the the more touristic beaches and see the sunset. We hired a Driver and it was really a fun experience.

We stayed here for a week and had a great time. This is a quiet resort, with 8 bungalows, an amazing pool and fabulous beach. Pen and her team are very welcoming and help out with any arrangements or menu adjustments etc. There are 2 other resorts on the beach, one of which, Serenity, does nice cocktails and has a wide ranging menu. Here at Sunrise, the breakfast and dinner menus are more limited but the quality is excellent. 5 minutes walk away is Aunties, a great place for authentic Thai lunch. So this is a quiet beach and a great place for a poolside or beach rest. All 4 restaurants are closed by 8:30pm. Very highly recommended if you’re looking for somewhere to relax. Not for you if you’re looking for something more lively! We will definitely stay here again when returning to Ko Chang

Fabulous hosts and accommodation when all you want to do is relax and chill out

If your dream holiday on a tropical island is staying under the shadow of a coconut tree hearing the sound of the waves, you are here in the right place. This experience will be completed by a wonderful pool that is a blessing in hot days, a poolside bar, a very good restaurant and Pen, the resort's manager, will make you feel welcome at any time during your stay here. The Bungalow in which we stayed was spacious, very clean and comfortable, having also a fast 5G, for whomever wants to share their experiences with family&friends. Thank you for this great experience!

This place is amazing. Excellent atmosphere, food and service.
The sea is better on the busy west side, but the pool is excellent and the owner takes care of your requests in the best way.

We had the most amazing time at Pam's. Bungalow right by the sea - exactly what we dreamed of when we got on the plane. Pam was a great host and made our stay a wonderful experience. We would strongly recommend this accomodation to everyone looking for a quiet paradise.

We stayed here as a large family group and took a number of bungalows. The peace and quiet and sitting in a deck Chair on the beach enjoying the shade of a coconut tree while listening to the waves gently hitting the sand - this was very enjoyable.

The service from the staff was excellent and the manager was very knowledgeable and nothing seemed too difficult.

The rooms are very nice and comfortable with an excellent view of the water.

The beach and water was very clean. If I sat quietly enough and didn't move, crabs would come out of the sand and run around on the beach. Also I could clearly see little fish swimming in the water , telling me that the water is very clean and clear.

The infinity pool is also a great way to relax in the afternoon. We will certainly be coming back again.

Located on the more tranquil side of the island, a child friendly, relaxing, beautiful location with great restaurants, stunning pool and very friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent place, Pen, the manager, will make sure that you are comfortable. Great 5G. I was really able to work remotely - so I extended my stay twice 👌😇. No restaurant but you can order excellent and cheap food via Pen.

My husband and me loved that place!!! We planed to stay 2 nights but than we didn``t want to leave and at the end we stayed 10 days.. We had a little nice ,very clean Bungalow at the beachfront.infront of us the wonderful view to the sea and the landscape in the background ,leftside the very,very nice infinitypool, which we could use also in the nights.The pool was illuminated by colourful lights. The stuff was great ! Helpful friendly all the time and gave us the feeling of being part of the family, The food was wonderful and very tasty! we enjoyed the pieceful and quiet atmosphere in our Little Resort which opened at the beginning of November.it´s a perfect place to relax.We got towels and bedsheets changed often , For us it felt totaly perfect.Thanks a lot again to Pen with her big heart,to Quang,we will miss her friendly smile and her super tasty food, to Debbi,all the time friendly and ,helpful with booking tours or anything, to wan and the two girls, cleaning the beach ,the garden and the rooms from morning to evening, thanks a lot from Ursula and Robert from Germany

Wondeerfull place on the relaxed side of Koh Chang. We stayed with 3 kids and the wonderful Team made us feel like part of the family and took very good care for all our whishes. The food was very good and kitchen was flexible for extra wishes. The Bungalows are very nice and clean. Me and my kids loved it and send many greetings to Pen and her Team.

Quite amazing place, quiet, lovely bungalows, a-mazing pool with bar to hang or even get some work done (there are bar seats in the pool too!), welcoming owners and staff that speak English and will help you with anything from questions to transport to activities. The private beach is stunning, water warm, they have kayaks. Highly recommended.

A nice and quiet small hotel. 8 huts only. Super friendly staff trying to fulfill your wishes before you can say. Clean. Directly at the beach on the eastern quiet side of the island. The right place to find new friends. Nothing for party lovers

Pen (the owner) treated us like family. The staff is friendly and helpful. We loved it! Hope to visit again soon.
