Macura Resort

This resort is the place to go if you want to spend time in a relaxed atmosphere in a quiet surrounding.
Marcel takes care of all your requests and is open for a nice chat now and then.
The bungalow itself are nice and have everything you need. Air conditioning (which is important for me) is working properly and the terrace gives a nice shadow before or after you start exploring the island.
Another big advantage: You can rent your scooter straight at the resort.
Absolutely recommended!

Very clean and quiet. Beautiful garden and the nicest owners you can find in Thailand. They are always available to help you with anything you need. If you don’t need to stay directly at the beach, I can highly recommend this resort. They also rent out motorbikes and you can just go to any nearby beaches.

I liked this resort very much! The location is a little bit above the main road, at the beginning of the forest. The different bungalows are all very nice and unique. The whole place is not luxerious, but you get everything you need. The rooms are clean and the location is quite.
You will need a scooter, motor bike or car if you want to go somewhere. But this makes sense on Koh Chang anyways.
Marcel is a perfect hosts who can help you with his knowledge about Koh Chang.
During our time the pool was not available, but I guess this problem was fixed by now.

Very nice and tidy place. The owner and his family are very nice and helpful. They have a pool, a small Bar and you can rent a scooter for a fair price.

What a wonderful place to spend a week…. Friendly owners, quiet setting, good wifi, clean, breakfast right to your patio, strong wifi and a nice cool pool on a hot day.

Cozy bungalows with hotel quality beds and linens. Some rooms have amazing bathrooms. Wish the tropical rain weren't falling while I stayed here. But that's the only thing I could complain about. The lush garden of the property is very well kept, feels like in the paradise.
Last but not least, the owner is a very approachable, friendly, and helpful Frenchman.

The receptionist (which I guess is also the owner) is extremely friendly. Room are nice, you get a 4 person room with 2 bathrooms which is not common in other hotels, there also a front porch with tables and chairs for your maximun relax. They have scooters for rent which are well maintained (30k+ in odometer but the conditions are still good, no shaking on acceleration, no weird engine noise, brakes fully functional).

The minor down sides are no flipflop in the room (but you could get some at 7/11 or bring your own), the uphill way to the resort is a little bit steep.

Prices are reasonable, 10/10 would recommend.

Great value option just off white sand beach, the room was spacious and the beds are of 5 star quality. Lovely garden! Marcel the owner is a wonderful guy to chat with.

“Best location to relax and enjoy nature”

The family run resort makes you feel home. They share their calm and loving atmosphere with all visitors. The owners were always around and you can feel that they love what they do. They gave us great ideas of what to do and how to get there. We give a 10 because of the great location of the resort. Located away from the main street you can enjoy calm moments in the beautiful big garden area. There is a nice restaurant (name Ban Hea) in walking distance. To get around on the island and to go to the night market and beach it is best to rent a motoscooter directly at the resort. The price is really good (was 200 THB for 24 hours). If you are not into driving, you can just stop any Taxi at the main road (1 minute walking distance). There is also a convenient and cheap laundry service available which is perfect for backpackers.

We've booked only 4 nights first and than stayed for 2 weeks. We've tried 3 types of rooms, only one was small but it's cheaper. Everything's good here: cleaning of the rooms, bedlinen and towels like in a good hotel, breakfast is served with full cutlery and small nice dessert forks for fruits. There are details but for me it is important. You can book all services you need via owner: laundry, motobikes, taxi, entertaiment and excursion. Very beautiful garden is around the bungalows. The owners are very friendly and good english speaking! Quiet place and good location between white sand and klong prao beach. And i am really glad that we could find this for staying 😊

Absolutely fantastic for a solo or family getaway. Comfy rooms, flawlessly clean, attention to detail, good and quiet location, helpful and caring staff that will make you feel like home. Do not hesitate, if on Koh Chang book Macura Resort!

Nice little boutique hotel, Pon was very nice and helpful, nicely located, definitely a scooter is a Must, got one at the hotel and it was in tip top shape, no problems at all, very quiet at night. Really like it alot. I ternet works like a champ. Would definitely go back.

Great place to stay. Booked two nights and stayed for 9. Comfy clean rooms. Very short walk from main road so easy to get taxis. 20 mins walk from start of white sands beach area.

Super nice, cozy and clean place. Stayed 2 nights longer than planned cause I loved the place. The owners are super friendly too! Stay here!!

Great place, great value & great host! A bit on a side from the crowd the resort offers a nice, cosy place to hide after a long day. Highly recommended!

Good little place on the hill side. Sadly corona has made it silent but people should definitely come here it nice and comfy

The Hotel is a really nice and fostered place.
