Beautiful location! Amazing jungle feel with a River flowing close by. We had some pizzas with a friend and sat around the fire with some drinks in the evening! Great vibe and atmosphere!

Drove by with some friends seeking a chill spot and discovered one of the best hidden jems Arusha had to offer.
If it’s not the ambience that gets you, then it’s the service! Spectacular.

This location was our first stop in our African Safari honeymoon, the staff was most gracious and welcoming. We were greeted with hot towels after traveling all day and delicious passion fruit juice. Our room was secure and private with lovely bath and shower, in the morning we were welcomed by several monkeys who just wanted to hang out by our windows.
Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the grounds could easily be explored. Would recommend any day!

We enjoyed a great Xmas brunch at their restaurant, I highly recommend it, best food we have had in Tanzania over past two weeks!

Landed at Rivertrees Country Inn on the 2nd of September (2023), and will be checking out tomorrow night (the 13th of September, 2023). The rooms are all gorgeous villa style rooms, with double door entry to a bathroom with toilet, shower, bathtub, and vanity. The reception, staff, and food is all top notch. Every query or ask I had of them they quickly and easily dispatched.

The steak medallions, the pizzas, and the chicken wings are phenomenal! Also if you're from the United States, be sure to try the 'ginger ale', vastly different and more authentic than what you might be used to back home. Not sure how this place is only rated 3 stars, the easiest recommendation I can/could make! :)

We had a brief overnight stop after landing at Kilimanjaro Airport but for the less than 12 hours that we spent here we had a good experience. Beds were comfortable and bathroom well appointed. Grounds were lovely to have a brief walk around in the morning and the staff were friendly. Dinner and breakfast had plenty of options and were tasty.

I only stayed at this place in the afternoon/evening with my volunteer group for a latte and pizza which were both of high standard but I was impressed by the beautiful surrounding and service. The waiters/waitresses are very attentive and the grounds are beautiful. I went on a walk besides the river and sat at the fire in the evening. Also they have a swing hanging off a tree which feels very mystical. I hope to return to this hidden gem some time in the future.

Could not recommend highly enough. We had a fantastic stay, a great intro to Tanzania before we headed off on safari. The food, drinks, cabins, nature, ambience was all perfect. We can’t wait for our next stay!!

Particularly impressed by Omari, who welcomed us so warmly on arrival at the airport. He went above and beyond when our bags were lost, and managed to get them delivered to us in the middle of the Serengeti. He saved our honeymoon, and we will forever be grateful.

I highly recommend Rivertrees. The staff are lovely, and the food is delicious. The salad bar is excellent value for $$. The lodge is beautiful, with huge trees and monkeys, and it’s so peaceful sitting by the river enjoying cappuccinos. We are yet to stay, but love visiting the restaurant regularly. Love love love Rivertrees it’s one of my most favourite places in Arusha ❤

We stayed here before and after our safari and its such a beautiful and relaxing serene oasis hidden away. The rooms are so nice, the stone bathtub is deep and such a nice touch after a long safari trip. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is traveling through the area, even if only for a day pass to enjoy the amenities.

We spent the day and one night here as a stop over on our way to the Serengeti on safari. It's a beautiful place. Everything about it was great.

My only complaint is that I could not stay longer. I loved my short stay at the Rivertrees lodge. The grounds are beautiful, service was excellent, and food is wonderful. The bathrooms were nice, featuring showers with strong water pressure. Wifi was pretty good. Monkeys all around!

Great place for quiet and romantic getaway, food was good and well presented

We did not stay here, but went to the restaurant, which was phenomenal. Shared a giant chef salad and had one of the best wood fired pizzas I have ever had.

Beautiful surrounding, incredible staff, decent prices. I would do it again.

Just came as a family for a meal and Th grounds. Beautiful location, delicious food - on the pricier side for Arusha but you get a lot for the price. Look out for the huge Trumpeter Hornbills and the Colobus monkeys as you walk around the grounds.

The nicest place in USA River. Exzellent food, perfect location and very pleasant service. Only the menue is a bit small, would be nice to add some new dishes. The brownie is a must, as the traditional fish dish. If you go for breakfast you have to try mama's crepes with honey and lemon, it's a climax in taste.

Just beautiful! About 45 minutes from Kilimanjaro Airport. Rooms well appointed and clean. Great food. Bar services, pool, walking trail along the river. Beautifully landscaped. Gift shop. I recommend.
