Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge

Didn't get the opportunity to stay in their rooms but I had day access for the pool, restaurant and the boat ride. It has been one of the most scenic and tranquil experiences of my lifetime. The lunch was also beyond excellent and I think the rate was pretty fair. (Not sure what prices are like in Tanzania but for sure in Kenya such an experience is triple the price) All round it is an experience I'd recommend to people again and again.

Ngare Sero is a gorgeous place to unwind on a lazy weekend. It is just off Arusha, and a couple of us went to spend the day there. The property was an old colonial farmhouse that's been converted into a fancy hotel. The place is gorgeous and you get a guided tour of the place. It also has some "Instagrammable" spots, including a leisurely boat ride on the artificial lake and a swing that flies over the lake. They have horses and also a very funky safari car that's remodelled to run on bio fuel.

The experience is on the pricey side but quite worth it. It is TZS 50,000 per person (without food) or TZS 100,000 with food from a set menu. You could order food separately, but the options are quite limited. The food was delicious- they get most of the vegetables from their farms and the meat is from local suppliers from the area. It was weekend well spent!

Extremely interesting place with a lot of history. Well worth the time to visit. Loved the craft beer.

Perfect place indeed, such great ambience, lovely atmosphere and great people around. I honestly didn't feel like leaving, I felt at home and relaxed. I'd recommend over and over again.

Great place to stay when in Arusha. We stayed there four times between travelling to safaris.

The food was good. The ambiance is soothing. And boat ride was cherry on top.
They have horses as well (but you've to ask at the reception)
You will find lot of white monkeys (it's surprising 😂😂)
Many people come for pre-wedding, maternity photo shoot.

The swimming pool is small but it's serves the purpose.

The staff is kind and helpful.

Fantastic place with lush gardens and a mountain stream located on the slopes of Mt Meru. One can enjoy guided bird walks, horse back rides, relaxing by the pool or a paddle on the lake.
The food and staff are amazing and tentative to all your needs, this is matched with great food, often fresh from their own gardens.

This is such a relaxing oasis. They have what seems like a resident group of colobus monkeys perpetually near the lake - you can watch them while you eat and enjoy the tranquil sounds of nature all around you.

Staff is superb; beds are comfy; food is good.

Their amenities are super great too: I got a massage here and Flora was great at it; and running around the surrounding area on horseback with Mateo was a highlight.

I'd easily recommend this place to others! It's fantastic as a relaxing place to be after Kili or Mt Meru. Plenty of things to do, and everything is so nice!

Absolutely phenomenal property. We loved it so much that we wanted to come back and stay here for few days. We stayed at the beautiful historic house, build pre-WWII. staff were extremely helpful and attentive. They made special vegetarian meal for us, which was flawless. Food was made from the locally grown produce in their organic farm. They setup up breakfast, lunch and dinner were under the canopy surrounded by lush jungle. A relaxing boat ride on the pond onsite is very refreshing. Dont miss this. We also explored their organic farms, admiring how many varieties they grow there. They also have a Crocket court. It was fun playing. Property grounds were well manicured and beautifully designed. There is a walking trail around the property through the lush jungle and by the creek. We visited their Spa in the middle of trees, and a nice swimming pool.
I can go on and on about this property. Seriously, very nice property, and worth lot more than the price we pay. Cannot recommend enough!

Fantastic lodge and a beautiful experience! Located a couple of km's off the main road, this family-run lodge has everything you need to rest before or after a Safari/Kilimanjaro climb.

The rooms are cosy and have all the basic commodities (no fridge or personal safe), the staff is always nice to you and ready to help.

There are several different activities to pass time like horse riding, some croquet, a beautiful pool, bird watching, etc.

We had dinner for 25$ per person but it is worth every penny, as you can see from the pictures the food is more than enough and it is typical Tanzanian food. Everything was delicious, breakfast as well.

Definitely recommend it, had a great time here.

Very beautiful surroundings and an enormous garden. You can hear birds and watch horses, have a stroll around, very relaxing and a good starting or finishing place for a safari. Also quite close to the Kilimanjaro airport (ca 40 minute drive).
Food was excellent!

Ngare Sero Lodge was stunning. Green all around and such a beautiful location. I only spent the day there but it was lovely to walk among the trees for a couple of hours, followed by a very tasty lunch with homegrown vegetables. A beautiful view of Kilimanjaro and just a great place to be.

This is a big wow place!! A real old farm, with a lake, big park, beautiful swimming pool with all necessary things like towels, shower, toilet...they organized tours there, and also have a spa...and food in the restaurant is delicious, and they can accommodate any special request. There's a little souvenir shop with a good variety of local handmade jewelry, coffee and crafts with moderate prices. If we knew how amazing this place is would definitely extend our vacation and stay a few days there. Highly recommend to stay for a few days

It's a nice place for a family and other close related people to have fun with full enjoyments found in ngaresero mountain lodge. The services suits all people from all ages, starting with kids to grown up people. The meals and drinks a classic with all nutrients and food minerals. It's not a place that no one can wish to miss the services and good treatment provides by the best customer attendants.🍳🍔🍰🍕🍎

The best hotel in Arusha! The most impressive landscapes and staff is really friendly. Perfect service, comfortable rooms in colonial style, amazing food, very long swimming pool with lounge zone for chilling. I strongly will recommend this lodge to newlyweds or families, because it's so romantic, safe and really peaceful.

We were received with the best staff in this service industry, the treatment was outstanding the food is delicious as the wines too.. the environment is bliss the indoors are perfect I personally enjoyed the jacuzzi.

One of the most beautiful places in Tanzania. Paradise! We came for just two days and couldn't bring ourselves to leave again. Finally stayed a whole week.
