Nile Horseback Safaris

Booked the 2hr advanced ride for myself and my friend and it was the highlight of our trip! We had been in Uganda for 3 weeks and this is by far my favourite moment of all. We booked very last minute but the staff were fantastic and very accommodating to our timings.

Our guides were absolutely amazing, they looked after us and were very receptive to our feedback, in turn tailoring the ride to our wants and needs, the guides also took the most amazing photos and videos for us, even galloping shots. I could not be more grateful for this as any rider will know how difficult it is to get footage of yourself riding.

The horses were lovely and brilliantly behaved, they are practically bombproof there were dogs barking, children screaming, cars, bikes, trucks and everything under the sun appear as we went through the most beautiful scenery and villages of Jinja and the horses didn't flinch once, we definitely felt very safe on them and make the ride that much more enjoyable. They are amazing sure footed as some Ugandan roads can be a bit sketchy and not once did any of the horses falter. Extremely well trained and responsive to the rider, as I mentioned we were walking, trotting, cantering and galloping over all terrain and never once felt unsafe.

Again I could not recommend enough, if you enjoy riding and finding yourself in the area I highly recommend. They offer slower rides also which I will definitely do next time to take in the most beautiful scenery over looking the Nile and rural Uganda.

Great horses and well kept. Great service and professional guides. Easy to get started, incredible horse riding experience for a complete novice.
The safari was a walk around a village, not a real adventure to nature. But the horse riding was great quality!

Absolutely a five star place: the horses are fit, well fed and are good spirited. The owners were very welcoming and experts. I loved riding through the small houses, seeing all the lush avocado, coffee and mango trees and cantering full speed between sugar and tea fields. Only praise from me! Thank you!

Nile Horseback Safari’s was AMAZING! My friend who only took 8 lessons in the Netherlands got a cute chestnut gelding, named Rusty. I rode Zeus for about 10 minutes and then switched to the pretty Boerperd, Boss who our guide was riding. We did lots of trotting and cantering and even galloping. At first I was worried my friend would fall off, but he did just fine! The ride took 3 hours, but after two my body started to ache. We rode through a scenic landscape, farmlands, hills and little towns. The guides took very good care of us and the horse were well taken care of and very fit. We both loved the ride and the owner let us take a shower before heading back to Kampala to fly back.

They never disappoint! All you have to do is make the reservations, show up and have fun. I'd give them 8 stars if I could.

A really well run horse riding provider. There are some beautiful trails along the river and through the countryside. Various abilities all catered for and a lot of lovely horses. Horse lovers should definitely check them out! Anyone else too if you fancy trying a different way to explore.

Very well kept lawns and stables. Beautiful, healthy and energetic animals. Very affordable services. Excellent management team (Jeremiah and the proprietors). The most wonderful and convivial guides (Erasmus, Geofrey and Hassan) one could have, we all talked and laughed throughout the ride like we’d met before. The list of compliments is endless. Very grateful for the precious memories in photos and videos taken by the guides. Congratulations to the entire team on such a great job. Highly recommended!!

The horses are easy to ride and give a safe feeling. We rode a lot canter, that was so much fun. The stable is really okay for the country, so that the Horses are in a good condition. It's worth the price.

The real horse riding experience. Yes this is it. Riding along the banks of the Nile. It gives the entire movie feeling.

Some of the best horseback riding available. Well cared for horses, great guides and even greater trainers make NHS a must see. Located on the banks of the Nile only make the experience better. Anyone of any experience level can have a ride tailored to them

Great place run by a very nice Aussie expat. Have horses for all experience levels, with multiple duration and difficulty rides available based on your level and preference. Highly recommend trying this place out if in Jinja.

Definitly want to come back för the longer safari ride between loges.!! Happy to have got this ride along the stunning scenery of the Nile, crops, and everyday life in the small villages. The hourses were well taken care of and well behaved. Staff friendly and

Hidden away but Google maps does a great job and brings one to the very doorstep. Fast services. Parking available. Friendly guides for first-timers.
