Sonrisa Mexican Restaurant

A great Mexican option in Uganda! Different than the Mexican I get in San Diego, but taken into account were half way across the world, I’m impressed and coming back again.

The chips and guac were good, taco shells nice and soft and the pork had great flavor.

We’ll be back for more.

The Mexican restaurant is part of a great place with other foodtrucks as well. Gluten-free and vegan options available! Highly recommended (especially if you suffer dieet restrictions).

Coming from California I was fearful I could not find a taste of home in any of my dining options. Sonrisa proved me wrong. Mary runs an amazing restaurant! They produce authentic Mexican Food and do it with a smile. They are always cheerful and the food is always delicious.

Pro Tip - Ask her to cater your party and request the special enchiladas. She makes the sauce from scratch and slow roasts the tomatoes over charcoal. I couldn't get better Mexican food going to Mexico...Mary's is the best!

Delicious! Mary is a great chef and a kind host. Her Chipotle style food was a nice taste of home for me (from America). Good price for the amount of food you get!

I'm from south Texas and I have to say, this is the best Mexican food I've ever had! Everything is so fresh and natural, plus Mary's loving touch makes it the best.

At first glance I questioned what would be available. The place is Small! But outdoor seating was plentiful, and the separate kitchen was perfect.

The food was excellent! I was very impressed! Delicious chimichanga and quesadilla!

Loved it. Burrito was great. Have a snow cone from the vendor next door! Fun hang out place.
