To anyone looking for some peace and quiet in Jinja, I'd definitely recommend this place. And the pork ribs are heavenly 😍😋

We came here twice, both only for dining - lunch and dinner. The prices are reasonable and the food is diveresed and tasty - they have dishes for mzungus.
But the best thing is the amazing view of the Nile river!!

The place is great with a view(not so open but sufficient) of the river Nile. Currently, it has a 75$ per night offer of the 120$ rooms until the COVID-19 eases. I enjoyed their fish and loved the caper mayonnaise 😋😋😋. Great customer care❤👍🏽

Awsome!! They have swimming pool n baby chair n craft selled. All of food is so sweet n familiar. Nice place for taking a rest. There r many monkey that is so funny n cute. Shall we go again?

Thanks Bingo and Jada for the whistlestop, unplanned plan tour of the recently refurbished rooms. It's been years since I passed by the Black Lantern and it's great to see that it's still going strong.
What a gorgeous spot! Not only does it have its own panoramic riverview, the gardens of indigenous plants are mature and lush. The swimming pool looked very inviting and the pondlife intriguing!
Shall definitely be heading back there - for longer - soon. Heard great things about their restaurant.

Delicious dinner with a great scenery. Full rack of pork rib is enough for 2 people. during a mealtime, monkeys are possible to come but don’t be afraid

Coming to this place was originally about our new feature; "Eating at the most reviewed Places in Jinja, as seen on TripAdvisor". This feature is part of our bigger campaign; "Meet Jinja" The Adventure Capital of East Africa.

Before I proceed, allow me introduce myself. We are Enock and Jaqi, a social travel couple, with a mission to inspire many other couples travel more.

After tasting the amazing food, the honey blended pork especially, we we're taken around the property and that's when we discovered the Eco Friendly rooms for accomodation and that's how we ended up spending a night.

This is one place we would recommend for lovers, very quiet, peaceful with no distractions like TV.

Such a great atmosphere here! The view is 🥰 The calls of the birds,sunset watching right from the comfort of my Room, Epic!😍 love it here.

Super beautiful view of the Nile, and a great place for drinks + beer battered fish! Would highly recommend going for dinner or to stay.

Lovely place near Nile River fresh fish and fruit and there a lot of monkey 🐒 round and.yiu can sit for meal and watch them play round on the tree 🌳, so funny 😀and I hope you will visiting there ,

Those scrumptious racks of pork had us promising ourselves of a permanent relocation to Jinja in the not so distant future😉.

This is one of the best places to stay in case you need to relax your mind. They have the best customer care, a beautiful river view, a lot of green nature, and delicious food.

PLEASE visit The Black Lantern when in Jinja. The food IS TO DIE FOR. The staff are friendly and polite. And for dessert forget the healthy option and grab yourself the best icecream EVER. I suggest you do the quad biking at Bujagali BEFORE lunch

We visited the restaurant. Food was very good. We ate fish fillet, which was fabulous and best we had during our 3 weeks trip in Uganda.

Amazing... The natural beauty and scenery is spectacular and soothing. Great place to relax.

Generally a very calm and friendly place.
But something needs to be done about the blaring music at night from the neighbouring campsite.
