U-Store Self Storage Portland East

Just needed a place to store things cause moving dates didn’t line up and found this place as it was close to my new home.
Avis made the experience so welcoming warming and made me feel so safe.
10/10 would recommend just based off the hospitality that was provided.

These guys are great. They make it so easy to move in and out of a unit and are also super accommodating if you need to downsize spaces. I appreciate the staff taking the time to learn the names of their tenants and being engaged with them whenever they stop in. I’ve used this facility several times over the years and they will continue to be my go to should I need them in the future. Thanks for a great experience!

I just emptied my unit and cancelled with them just because I have enough storage space at my place now but I wanted to say everyone there has been so nice every time AND they let me end my contract 3 days into the month and prorated me, which they usually won’t do, like if you cancel during that month you have to pay the whole month and I thought that was very nice and reasonable of them to make me not have to pay the whole month

In all honesty I needed a place that was affordable and safe. Portland seems to get a bit crowed and stuff goes missing a lot. I looked for storage close to home and found the U-Store storage facilities super close. I first when in with a budget and they ended up offering me a much cheaper unit than the one I had thought off. The people are nice and have everything under control. The facilities are clean which is what I liked the most. Give them a try if you’re looking to store some of your belongings.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The building is pretty massive, but it’s kept up well (the building is over 100 years old! And looks GREAT when you take that into consideration) The prices are very affordable. They do not let you store food (pests) and isn’t temperature controlled for the summer (kept above 40 in winters), so just be aware it’s probably not best to store your good wine! But I would highly recommend

I was skeptical of this place after reading the reviews, but after taking one of the larger units for a little over a year, I was pleasantly surprised. As long as you adhere to the rules, as we all should have learned in elementary school, you can have confidence your goods will be safely protected. The staff was pleasant and accommodating - within the stated rules, and I was quickly notified if I left my unit unlocked or if there were roof leaks in nearby units (happened 1x, wet rainy days, top floor unit), etc etc. first come first serve for the carts and loading bays but I never had a problem and the elevators were always in service and had plenty of capacity. I’ll store here again if I ever need it.

The prices are reasonable, the location is safe, and the staff who helped me move in were very nice and accommodating. The building has a huge service elevator and tons of carts, which made moving in a breeze. The hours are a little misleading because they actually close 30 minutes before the listed hours so just make a note of that.

I was in dire need of a storage unit here in Portland, Vern, the manager there was there to help me right away! He assessed my needs to see what size would be the best for all of my things at the best price. He took the time to show me multiple units and kept on trying until we found the perfect match! When I finally went in to rent my unit everyone was very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly! Very secure, and easy access to all of your personable belongings. Great hours as well. I just rented a unit here and was impressed with the friendliness and ease of renting a storage unit. since I just rented the unit I don't have any other experience but so far so good. The only possible downside is getting in and out you have to cross over a railroad tracks and there is a train that comes quite often but minor detail.

I love this place! I've needed a storage unit because I've up an moved overseas a couple of times. Now that I am back in portland I can only afford a one bedroom apt, so I use this unit sort of as a 'garage'. Great central location. Vern has always been so helpful in finding me the right unit (upgraded after the second move). I don't know why someone has reviewed him negatively. That person was probably not showing any respect, you get what you give. All of the staff has always been nothing but friendly and helpful, especially Vern! :)

I'm not sure what the negativity is about in some of these reviews. I requested info online and heard back from Breann the same day. When I returned her call, she was super nice and extremely helpful. I arrived the next evening and she recommended a special they were having, then showed me the unit. She explained everything to me in detail and the paperwork process was very positive. Thanks, Breann, for being so customer-service oriented and ensuring my experience was a great one!!

The reasonable month-to-month fee was a pleasant surprise. The staff was kind and helpful explaining my options and showing me several rental units to choose from. Allow yourself plenty of time and patience for completing the paperwork.

This was my first time renting a storage unit and, I must say, the entire experience was not stressful or overwhelming thanks to the helpful and friendly staff of this location.
As noted in other reviews, the building is old, yet is kept pretty clean and is easily accessible.

I would highly recommend this storage unit.

Very good customer service! Always helpful, always professional, and friendly. The storage units are clean, dry and we'll maintained. I've been storing my belongings with them for years now and I've never been dissatisfied.

I can think of at least 6 different staff members I've talked to or dealt with over the 6+ years that I've been a customer with this place. I've opened up 3 different lockers there and cancelled 1 of them. I've NEVER had a bad experience. They are always clear about all the rules when you first get a locker, so that part of the process is when you should be listening and not talking/texting. Knowing when your bills are due, paying on time/racking late fees is all ON YOU. As for damage to books, I've had books, magazines, documents in my locker, and NEVER a drop of damage. They've always taken care in helping me choose the right locker (size, location) for my stuff. They have lots of options.
Cheap rates, very safe, reliable, and the building has alot of cool 100 year-old character. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

The staff of U-Store Self Storage Portland East are very friendly and easy to work with. My things are stored inside, safe and sound from the elements. The price is very reasonable and I'd recommend this facility to anyone!

We used U-Store for the past year while traveling the country in our RV. The company was great to work with. Very clean and reasonable rates. I would recommend to anyone!

I recently found myself needing to downsize but haven't figured out keep yet and I looked U-Store up and I drove to their East side location, The staff was very helpful and made it easy to rent a 5 x 10 x 10 unit which should be more then enough room to store my stuff in, Now all I have to do is take my stuff over there which I'll do this weekend, Great price and in a secure facility!

I love this place. Old building. High ceilings. Great staff.
