Salt & Straw has good collection of ice cream flavors. They are tasty with just right amount of sugar. The only minus point of this location is parking. The parking next to it reserved for other businesses. You might able to find a parking spot a few blocks down the road.

Local ice cream chain that has vegan options. We both went with a cup of vegan ice cream. She the marionberry and mint chocolate chip. I got the peanut butter Carmel crisp and chocolate sorbet. I was worried about my combo individually, but the sum was better than the parts. Hers not so much, mint/chocolate is a sin in the first place. We enjoyed them regardless, it was a perfect spring day in Portland. Sat outside on the bench soaking up the sun.

Fantastic place to grab some great ice cream. Love the different flavors they have. Some can get very interesting, but I love the idea of doing random things. I also really enjoy the fresh cones made fresh in the store. The minute you walk in, you can smell the deliciousness! Facilities nice and clean, pretty chill vibe. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the product they are selling. I highly recommend checking this place out!

BEST VEGAN ICE CREAM I’ve ever had. I took a sample and asked to be sure it was vegan because of how rich and creamy it was. Got a split-scoop with peanut butter brittle caramel fudge and the seasonal flavor melted chocolate barley milk.

SO GOOD. I enjoyed this greatly. Normally not a huge ice cream guy cuz of lactose, but they had dairy free options and it was so good. There was a line, but it was very worth it. Got the Peanut Butter Brittle Caramel Fudge, super recommended if you like peanut butter.

The staff was super friendly and the ice cream was so creamy. They give you samples and I knew I had to choose this one the second I tasted it. The environment is so nice and mellow as well you can just go in and enjoy your ice cream or gelato as you people watch.

Lots of unique delicious flavors! I tried so many till I found 2 that I wanted. They also have some flavors that change every so often.

We enjoy the seasonal flavors, although the staples are champs too. Brave the lines during peak times in and chat it up with us locals or the tourists while you wait… or come at off peak times when there are no lines. The to go freezer is an excellent alternative too.

This is THE dessert spot I would recommend for anyone visiting from out of town. There are some very tasty classic flavors, as well as some options if you are looking for something unique. The service has always been super friendly and they are very thorough when accommodating for allergies in my experience. I also usually skip any kind of upgrades, but I always go for the waffle cone here. Best Ice Cream in the Metro!

Stumbled upon this during our roadtrip and I’m so happy we did! The olive oil ice cream was absolutely amazing! Did a split scoop of that with the coffee nut because I couldnt pick one.

Salt and Straw holds a special place in my heart as my favorite ice cream shop in Portland. With both signature flavors and ever-changing seasonal series, each visit is a delightful adventure for the taste buds. From nostalgic sweet breakfast cereal to surprisingly savory buttery mashed potato, Salt and Straw never fails to surprise and impress.

My go-to order is always a double scoop on a freshly made waffle cone—the perfect canvas for indulging in their inventive flavors. However, my absolute favorite is the cinnamon Snickerdoodle, a flavor that instantly transports me back to fond memories of my great grandma's homemade Snickerdoodles, which were simply the best.

As a proud Portlandian, I couldn't be happier to have Salt and Straw as a local gem. With its unique flavors, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to quality, it's no wonder it's my go-to destination for a sweet treat.

EXCELLENT ice cream, genuinely so good! I recommend the salted caramel in a waffle cone. The waffle cone is worth the extra price. Not many places to sit, but if the weather is nice there’s some spots outside and the windows of the store are wide open which is nice.

So happy I was able to try this place out. The flavors were better than imagined. I tried the double vanilla, olive oil, strawberry honey balsamic with black pepper, honey lavender and pear and blue cheese. I ultimately chose a scoop of pear and blue cheese and olive oil and was only disappointed I didn’t take a container home of both. They were so creamy, delicious and so flavorful. Don’t let the olive oil fool you, it was exactly as the staff said it was, a more creamy, adult version of vanilla ice-cream. The pear and blue cheese was not over powered by the blue cheese and the candy pears was a good mix with the blue cheese.

My four and one year old split a double vanilla cone and loved every bite. The kids had a hard time trying to sit on the stools and eat but that was the only complaint.

The staff was more than accommodating and very informative about flavor profiles. Can’t wait to go again.

It opens until late at night. Always fantastic. The staff are all friendly and all the flavors of ice cream are so delicious that it's hard to decide😋

The best ice cream I have ever had in my life, my boyfriend got the gooey brownie ice cream in a shake, which is everything you would ever need if you are craving chocolate, it is everything good about chocolate ice cream, and everything good about brownies. I got the salted caramel ribbon ice cream, it tastes EXACTLY like a wertheres original candy, AMAZING. We will be back! Thank you!

The ice cream was very good. We tried all the flavors. The people were so patient with us as we tried them all. I am not a fan of a lot of stuff in my ice cream, so I ended up getting the olive oil and strawberry balsamic black pepper flavors. They were really good together.

I got an ice cream flight. It was spectacular! On my must visit places when I visit Portland!

Each month, they have a new selection of limited flavors. It is great to go try all the new flavors of ice cream. They also have a large assortment of vegan flavors. Last visit, they had seven vegan options. They are always so friendly and don’t make me feel rushed in deciding what I want to have after I’ve tried all that I want to. One thing that I do now as I can’t decide on just one, I get a slip lit scoop and then add a kids scoop to it. It means I get to have three different flavors with smaller scoops. Win!
