Schoolhouse 7 Cafe

Stopped in this cute coffee house that was once a school. I was blown away by the atmosphere. It was a place that I could see myself hanging out in all day. I ordered a Chai latte (with coconut milk) and lavender syrup. It was perfect. I also had the bacon egg gouda bagel and bacon broccoli crustless quiche. While they were good, they did not excite me as much as I had hoped. I will be back for drinks.

UPDATE:
I have started adding lavender syrup to my chai latte and using oat milk. Schoolhouse has the best one around. The lavender takes this delicious drink to the next level.

Cozy atmosphere (including a fireplace) with good drinks and some food options if you’re hungry. I really love the local feel of the place and the lattes are darn good! They also have a good amount of alternative milk options! Will come again

The Schoolhouse 7 is my favorite local coffee shop by far. The building was originally a one-room schoolhouse, and the coffee shop really leans into that history in their decoration. It has such a cozy atmosphere and is a great place to work for a few hours. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the coffee shop hosts unique events throughout the year. Whether you want a tasty cup of coffee, a meeting place, or a change of scenery as you work, I highly recommend the Schoolhouse 7 Cafe!

I was visiting town and stopped by because this place is just a few mile from where I used to live. I met a friend here for coffee, and a sausage bagel, both of which were excellent. I love the decor and the rustic look, and the food is excellent.

We've lived in the area for several years and just discovered this coffee shop. So charming! They serve coffee, espresso and coffee drinks, along with baked goods, cookies, breakfast sandwiches and lunch options. Ordering is fast casual. Everything was delicious! Their bagel sandwiches are fresh and soft! We discovered the upstairs classroom area today that has a small area for children to play with puzzles and wooden toys. Very convenient for those with kiddos! They have 5 different seating areas - main floor inside, upstairs, classroom upstairs and 2 patio areas. Can't wait to come back and sit outside!

Super cute coffee shop! They have concerts & are also open later on the weekends. Huge upstairs and downstairs patio, along with picnic tables on the lawn, and plentiful seating on the inside. Awesome local place!!! (They definitely need more parking tho- parking lot SUCKS)

Schoolhouse has become my new go-to for a coffee shop. Not only do I love to support local, but their food and drinks are great. By far my favorite place to get a dirty chai latte. It’s quaint and quiet. A great spot for Bible studies, reading a book, or getting some work done. On top of that, the people who work there are always friendly! 10/10 recommend!

Took my kids here for the first time and it was so good! They loved the little red chairs on the deck where they could watch the cars and trucks go by; I loved the chicken salad croissant (that was a great price for how much you get) and the dirty chai was delicious. Planning on bringing the kiddos back for story time the second Monday of each month!

My wife and I tried this place for the first time and were not disappointed!!! The Ham and Swiss Croissant was excellent with a good helping of ham!!! The tomato 🍅 soup was great and it was a good sized serving!! My wife had the Veggie Quiche, it was kinda small but she said it was really good. School House 7 has good vibes all around and we will definitely be back!!!!!

Small menu but an inviting atmosphere. The balcony is dog friendly & the interior has a cozy vibe which sells the whole experience.

My husband and I went on a breakfast date on a Saturday morning and the atmosphere and location are fantastic! The breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the service was excellent! Dogs are permitted on the patio (and are warmly greeted with a delicious complimentary pup cup) which is certainly a huge plus for our family! Definitely recommend checking out the binder that explains the history of the school house and the business!

My favourite neighbourhood coffee shop for dining in and eating on the go! Great drinks and food served pleasantly and quickly in a lively, lovely environment in a fascinating building.

What's not to love!?! Delicious fresh from the oven blueberry muffin with the perfect little crunch on top, a slice of chocolate cake big enough to share, lunch on the top deck feels like eating lunch in a secret treehouse, and most importantly fabulous coffee that doesn't break the bank like most little (or big- Starbucks) coffee shops.

Close your eyes and imagine your ideal vision of a coffee shop ambiance, great coffee, good food, and it’s in an old school house. Now open your eyes! It exists! Unique, one of a kind, possibly the only thing like it in Indianapolis. Well done.

I go there with my granddaughters after their school, it’s ALWAYS a great experience.
The staff always smiles and are so polite.
If you’ve never been there I recommend it.

Highly recommend using Schoolhouse 7 Cafe's rental space. The venue is clean, cozy, and perfect for hosting small parties. Staff was extremely helpful day-of and flexible beforehand about catering needs.

Fun place to grab a small bite and some coffee. Cycling friendly place. Their is indoor and outdoor seating. They have a good points program to build to some free stuff. Nice cozy fireplace for those chilly mornings

Updated review. I went back to the schoolhouse. Schoolhouse 7, that is.
The first time I had a chicken salad croissant (4.5 stars), with potato chips (4 stars) and a cookie (5 stars).
My second visit was with a group, they had a limited menu, but I still was able to get the chicken salad, chips and cookie, that were just as good as the first time.
My third visit was with a group and a special limited menu. This time I had a grilled pork tenderloin sandwich, no breading and WOW was it good (5 stars). It came with the same chips and a cookie. I will be back and I hope they have the grilled option now and again.

Nice little bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Gluten free option. Clean place of business with some what looks to be some delicious options for sweets. I'd recommend anyone dropping in.
