Great place to work. Good culture. Nice people. Great schedule. Team lunches provided often, christmas bonuses, chili cook offs, great atmosphere. They could use more staff at times, but O.T. was optional in my department (customer service) which was great because it wasn't really customer service at all, more like production scheduling with a scientific background. I really like the supervisors here too, no micro managing, they trust their teams and are always there to help and support them it seems like. Wish vacation started out higher 8 days I think, plus you can take several absences, but it only takes a year before you get decent vacation, a few weeks. No weekends or holidays too. Perfect for first laboratory job to build that foundation. And could develop into a long term career..

Don't expect anything new. Just like any other work place. Only difference is, the bosses here will listen to someone's allegation, give it credit, with nothing but they're side of the story, knowing absolutely nothing about the issue at hand, and rule on it. Beware , if you work there and your NOT the bosses friend...

Several years ago, I was fresh out of college with my degree in Biochemistry. I was looking for a place to get my foot in the door and Vivolac seemed like a great fit.. that is until I met Wes. During my hiring process, I was interviewed by a panel of two women whom were incredibly nice and professional. Then Wes walked in completely late and you could tell he wasn't in a very good mood. He sat down with hardly a word to me, picked up my resume copy, and then started firing off questions for me like "Proteins consists of BLANK" (and he literally said blank). I was thrown off by his immediate question and was quite frankly startled. I sat there for a few seconds trying to gather my thoughts and he started saying it again but this time louder "Proteins consists of BLANK".. then after another 3 seconds he said it again and louder "PROTEINS CONSISTS OF BLANK... CHYNNA YOU HAVE TO KNOW THIS.." and he immediately started firing it off back to back without giving me a chance to answer. Back to back he said "Proteins consists of blank! Proteins consists of BLANK! Proteins consists of BLANK!". With a total of about 2 minutes that has gone by between him first asking the question up until this point, he slammed the resume down on the table, lectured me on how I am not cut out for the science field, then proceeded to get up and leave. The two women felt incredibly bad for me and they started to reassure me that everything was ok. I ended up thanking them for their time and left with tears streaming down my face. Even if I did get offered a position, there is NO WAY I would want to work with a guy like that. I went on to be hired as a contractor for a pharmaceutical company where I was quickly hired on full time after being praised for my great work ethic. Now everytime I see the name Vivolac, I cringe after that horrible experience.
