Midwest Heart and Vascular Specialists - Lee's Summit

I was relieved that the appointment took a lot less time than I expected. After having established a relationship with Dr. Ashley, I wasn't eager to deal with a new Doctor, but meeting Dr. Mazzella was quite a relief. He was very easy to talk to and seems genuinely interested in my wellbeing.

From the moment we stepped in to the new location, we felt welcomed. The young man who took my mom’s vitals was personable and thorough. Teresa was outstanding snd very willing to listen, discuss, and then offer professional guidance. My mother and I are appreciative of the attention she receives as she ages. I didn’t have to wait long for my appointment. Dr. Brown was very nice and took the time to listen to and discuss my symptoms and concerns. He immediately had people contact me to schedule tests. I feel very fortunate to be his patient!! His staff were very friendly, helpful and respectful.

Nurse Practitioner Theresa is WONDERFUL! She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. She is a very comforting individual who truly cares how you are doing! Doreen, who I have spoke to on the phone several times, is so helpful and concerned and always follows through!

NP Tribble, is outstanding as always! I have been seeing her for years. She has a way of communicating your health conditions in which you can truly understand. She possesses a true desire that she cares for your health! She is very responsive to med refills and unexpected health concerns you may have to call in about.

My husband has been a patient of Dr. Brown's for a few years now so when my primary asked which cardiologist I would like to see as a referral, I immediately said Dr. Richard Brown! He is an excellent cardiologist and takes time to listen to his patients. His staff is the best there is. I would HIGHLY recommend him​ to anyone needing a skilled, kind heart physician.

There are always some occasions when appointments or events do not happen as expected. I have often spent a lot of time waiting in medical offices, just as I did today at Dr. Brown's location HOWEVER...the primary difference is that they acknowledged me and offered an explanation for the delay and APOLOGIZED. I am ok with that..This office is the most professional and friendly office I have been to for a while.

I am in the medical field myself and have always been impressed with my care from this office. I have been hospitalized three times for heart related issues and have always felt the care I received was personalized and professional. I have recommended them to family members.

My Mother & I both see Dr Ashley & think he is a wonderful doctor. He is very kind & caring. He doesn't rush you. He listens to what you have to say. I would Highly recommend him.

Friendly staff. Check-in was a breeze. Doctor Brown listened to my issues then explained the process and procedures he recommended in a very informative way. Will keep going back to this location.

Knowledgeable, caring, and timely! Midwest Heart and Vascular cared for me while I was in the hospital and I have since followed up with them. Their care team from the front desk to the nursing and doctor staff is wonderful. I highly recommend them for your cardiovascular needs.

I first met Dr. Doonan 4 years ago at Overland Park Regional. His care saved my life and restored my heart heath . I gladly stayed in his care and followed him when he moved over to Lees Summit Hospital. He and his staff have always responded promptly should I have a question. There are plenty of Cardiologists that would be closer but I gladly drive the 35-45 minutes from my home in KC North for appointments. I recommend Dr. Doonan highly. In addition the staff at Lees Summit Hospital seem to work hand in glove with Dr. Doonan. This is an important ingredient in team effort for a patients quick recovery. GR

Dr Doonan has now moved to Research Med Center. The care continues to be top notch !!!! Doonan is the only one I'll let treat my heart. GR

Being that this has been my first experience with a heart issue I was so glad to finally find this company and this doctor everyone has been totally awesome they've answered any question that I ever have and I'm getting ready to do another procedure and to be totally honest with you I feel like I'm in the best hands I could be in I really appreciate the fact that they take all the necessary time and they're carrying it's just been great I just can't say enough good things about this whole organization

My appointment time was right on schedule. The staff was great and Dr Brown is a great physician.
