Ward Park

93 degree heat index too hot for the kids to have fun at the park? Not at Ward park where there is SHADE! SHADED rope tower, SHADED climbing tower, SHADED bridge, SHADED play cave, and even a SHADED bench for the parents. Thank you Blue Springs!! Pictures taken at 3pm on a HOT summer day.

My kiddos call this the "bear park.". The newer pickleball courts and the hidden play area is super fun for littles to larger kiddos. Just with many park locations, the water and bathrooms are offline through late fall and winter, so plan ahead for restroom and additional water needs.

This park gives a family vibe & it's Gorgeous, calm environment, we went early evening, there was a couple other families playing and not over packed. We walked the trail.

This park is awesome. There is a path that winds around the park too! The equipment is super fun, my 3yr old all the way up to my 14 year old loved it!

Love this park. Updated equipment for the kiddos, bathrooms, water fountain and pickleball courts. The equipment has shade over majority of it and sitting places for adults with shade also. 2 different entrances and walking trails.

Great place! Had my sons birthday party here! He loves it great time, inexpensive to rent a shelter with picnic tables and grill. They do have restrooms but close them at the end of fall/ early winter. There is also tennis courts!

Excellent place for a family 4th of July. Great park for a regular outing as well!

It is a great trail through mature beautiful trees. Mostly shaded, so great on hot days. Really nice playground. Pickleball courts. A couple shelter houses. And a basketball court.

Amazing park with all kinds of stuff for the kids. Mine loved it. We will definitely be going back.

Me and my kids loved Ward Park .... Almost a music park

Beautiful area! Awesome playground equipment! This park is a well kept secret. Parking lot on both North and South sides. GPS took me to the North side off 40 hwy. The parking lot on the South side is closer to play equipment. Not marked though. End of 22 St. Good luck finding it. Nice walking trail. Noisy from 40 hwy, but a serene setting. Limited shade. Shelter house, tennis court, horseshoe pits all close to each other. Bathrooms are on the gross side, but at least they have running water. All areas are handicap accessible.

Great park overall! Ample greenspace to run around on. The trails are stroller friendly and a nice workout. There is a sheltered area with tables and a grill. The equipment itself is cool! The theme is nicely incorporated throughout. There are fun animal facts around the play area. Climbing, music, sliding, chillin' in the bear cave and more. There are also bathrooms and a water fountain available.

If you have kids then for sure come here my kids had lots of fun we got there in the morning and came back at night. We also play volly ball and tennis since there is a tennis court and there restrooms which are clean and a place to throw a party birthday and a great place to just walk or bike. In my opinion i extremely just love these place so many things to explore.

Just took the littles, 2 and 4, to play on the brand new playground! The new playground is approved by my two!! The shelter and blacktops could use some update attention but other than that, solid upgrade to the playground!

Update: now 5 and 8... Still love it! Need to get the covers back on for some shade but other than that, lots of fun still! They added a dog walk it looks like, a little pen area for play and socialization?

The Parks department did some upgrades and it's really nice now. I took my grandson there to teach him to ride his bike and we also explored the creek. He loved it and wants to go again.

Great little park. Well kept and plenty of things to keep your kids busy for a while. Good place for a birthday party or to have lunch or dinner. Nice playground equipment to play on. Walking trails for a nice evening walk.

Nice park kids enjoy it and I play prickle all with friends there.

The park was beautiful and quiet. Loved the play area and so did my kids. The creek, trail, tennis court and basketball court was perfect. This park accommodated to all the kids.

Great park! My 2 y.o. loves the new updated equipment. My buddy and I usually play basketball on the other side of the park. It is nice and quiet!
