Met the owner today. Super nice guy, great service and the cupcakes were super gourmet and out of this world delicious. First time trying this place with my grandkids and the 11 and 6 year agrees with me. We will be back. Love this place. Highly recommend.

I ordered a custom cake from here for me and my friend's joint birthday! I sent them a few pictures of ideas and colors I liked and they did the rest. Pricing was fair and the cake was ready on time and SO YUMMY. Several people asked me where I had gotten it and were surprised at how affordable it was, especially for custom cake. Can't recommend Cupcake A La Mode enough!!

Dakota is the nicest most helpful employee ever! Charming and funny, he definitely makes the atmosphere welcoming. 10/10 would come back. He deserves a huge raise!!!

I’ve lived in Kansas City for 10 years and I’ve tried all the cupcakes, cupcake a la mode is the best. The frosting is amazing, true buttercream. The cake is always moist and delicious. I love the flavor options, Bella Nutella and salty Carmella are 2 of our favorites!

So good my mom and I came back the next day to get more!! The French Toast one was the most moist cupcake I've ever had in my life and tasted just like French Toast. Yum! The Churro one was really favored and moist too though I wish they'd put a mini churro on top instead of churro bits. The Coconut one was good but needs more flavor. The Gold Digger was alright. Not my favorite. Your definitely to find a cupcake here that you like. I wish I could take all these cupcakes home with me!

Best cupcakes in the state!! The whole menu is fabulously decadent, and the staff is kind, helpful, and polite. We are in here all the time. Itsyhe best treat, and so welcoming. The only problem is I'm going to get so fat eating cupcakes all day! BETTER THAN DUNCAN DONUTS

Cupcake à la mode has the best traditional cake in Kansas City. Not only do they have wonderful cupcakes, they also make wonderful layer cakes. The amaretto sweet is awesome. If you have not been, give it a try today.

This shop always knocks it OUT KF THE PARK! Every flavor we ever had was remarkable and we miss them being across town from us. They also have incredible gluten free flavors. Highly recommend any cupcake from them. Personal favorites are RED VELVET 🤤, German chocolate, amaretto, Carrot Cake, Pink Lemonade, I could go on and on. Truly AHHH-MAZING & #chefcertified

This adorable cupcake store has the best cupcakes in Kansas City. The cupcakes are all delicious with special flavors added each month, but I must say, my favorite of all is the Chocolate Obsession. These treats are a great way to tell someone you love them ... or maybe even yourself!

These are the best! Had wonderful service today, it was my birthday and the lady there offered to decorate a cupcake flavor they were out of when I came in. She was awesome!

I was surprised with these cupcakes delivered to my work. They were wrapped professionally and even had a handwritten card! My mom called and spoke with Jessica on the day of my birthday to get an order of these amazing cupcakes the same day. They have an assortment of flavors from raspberry to apple cinnamon and of course the classic chocolate! The butter cream icing with a dash of editable glitter was a perfect match for the not dry, and very flavor packed cake. One of my coworkers said it was the best tasting cake shes ever had!My mom ordered the Jumbo cupcakes, with the thought of cutting them in half to share. Once my coworkers got a bite they came back for the second half as well! So keep in mind when you order, order enough for all because these tasty cupcakes are too delicious to share! This will be the only shop I order from or will recommend to anyone that asks. Not only for the yummy, beautifully decorated cupcakes but for the outstanding customer service. I wish I was able to leave a higher review, not only for the cupcakes but for Jessica. She went above and beyond to help make my birthday wonderful. If you want amazing cupcakes with excellent customer service you have found the right shop.

Most delicious cupcakes ever! The Butterbeer cupcake from Oct is my all time favorite, def hope it returns! I also order delivery sometimes and one time they were out of one of the flavors I ordered so they gave me two cupcakes free!! Amazing customer service!

We purchased cupcakes at Cupcake A La Mode over the last five years, and we've always been happy with all of the cupcakes. This weekend, I purchased a dozen for a holiday gathering with several of the holiday flavors. we recommend the gingerbread and hot chocolate cupcakes.

Had bought 2 “Gold-Diggers” cupcakes from here for Mother’s Day; they were delicious and tasted JUST like a “German Chocolate Cake” just without the coconut. The icing can be a bit too sweet, but I’d definitely be back in the near future!

I ordered three different kinds of these off Doordash and they were three of the best cupcakes that I have ever tried. The Golddigger was super moist and full of flavor, the wedding cake one of the most delicious cakes and frosting combo I have ever had together, and the other is Salty Carmella and OMG!!! I love to support local and this made it easy with how fresh and tastey these all were.

We found this place by accident while coming from Barnes & Nobles bookstore. We went in and was greeted immediately, the staff are all so nice and very helpful. My favourite is Let it Snow because I love coconut, the icing is a little too dense and sweet but together with the moist cake its delicious. I tried other flavours but still come back to this one and my daughter loves the coffee one with the coffee bean on top. We have made this a tradition that each year on her birthday we go there after the bookstore and get cupcakes and sometimes just to treat ourselves. I totally recommend either the Plaza or Lee's Summit both are delicious.
