The Classic Cup Cafe

We visited Sunday morning to celebrate Father's Day. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Everyone left with a smile and happy tummies. I had the Chicken Pot Pie- very savory, and the puff pastry was perfectly flaky. My husband had Sesame Tuna Tacos, and pops loved his Shrimp and Grits.

The smoked brisket hash was full of flavor and the potatoes were crispy. The service was efficient and fast. There are options to sit either inside the restaurant or outdoors on the patio.

I’m rarely on the Plaza anymore but an opportunity to shuttle my daughter down here led to a chance to enjoy The Classic Cup and Cafe for lunch. I’ve walked by here hundreds of times but only stopped in once many years ago. It’s intrigued my daughter so we decided to make a stop. I didn’t order anything too exciting since it was a very early weekday lunch. There was no wait, the service was excellent and attentive. The food was good and I certainly would return to enjoy a larger meal.

First time visit. Difficult to pick one thing for breakfast - several good options. Great service and great food!

This place is a constant for me. The food is always top notch. The service is always up to par. And to be honest nothing beats people watching from the front patio. Simple menu items made with care make this a unique experience.

Great Service! Food was Amazing. Pancakes and the Bacon was fire🔥! We enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was Cool! I forgot the Gentleman name. But i hope him well in his Trip to Italy 🇮🇹.

The Classic Cup Cafe is a great spot in the middle of the Plaza. I come here every once in a while, but every time I do, I wonder why I don't more often.

Friendly staff members, great food and drink options for both brunch and lunch! They have 2 different patio area seating options and a dining area with multiple seating types to accommodate everyone.

This spot of a brunch/lunch favorite of ours. My wife and I have been here 3-4 times and have had fantastic experiences each time. Although, the wait can be long if you don’t make a reservation. Even so, the food is fantastic and the coffee drink selections are well portioned and delicious.

One of Kansas City's classic restaurants. Always delicious and the service is consistently warm and welcoming. I love the interior but it's also beautiful sitting outside on the back deck, or cafe Parisian style out front overlooking the beautiful Plaza.

Everything was AMAZING and perfect in every way! Our server was phenomenal, I feel terrible i forgot her name but she was the girl who served the private Swiftie group downstairs- she was exceptional! Thank you to everyone who was involved from the back of the house to the front😘

I so enjoyed the Sicilian Omelet. Oh my goodness, the meat was juicy, the salsa very complimentary, and the fried potatoes were a work of art. The service was exemplary. My ☕ and💧were refilled at just the right moment. We were well distanced and the interior had plenty of natural light & ventilation Kudos the the chef!

One of the best meals of our trip. Very fine menu, excellent service, the food was as fine as the descriptions. Memorable place, had been a famous sidewalk cafe. New owners are keeping up the high standards of our memories.

We ate brunch here and really enjoyed ourselves. I had the Everything Bagel and an apple mimosa. My hubby says they have great coffee! Food was delicious! Staff was amazing! The patio was full of sunshine!

I've been excited to finally get the chance to eat here for years. Finally rolled in for lunch and didn't regret it! Everything was delicious and it was a lot of fun to sit on the balcony with plenty of distance between us and other diners - there's for sure at least 6 feet between tables.

Great for breakfast and hands down the best pancakes in Kansas City. I even pick up their mix because it is so tasty! I haven't gotten anything but the pancakes because they speak for themselves. It feels like a fancy place but the prices are adorable. Our waitress was nice but the food took a bit to prepare, came out hot and delicious.

I've been coming to Classic Cup for 20+ years. It is my only breakfast stop while in KC. Simply the best. They tend to fill up quickly right after opening the doors.

Seated by CC's big windows, to observe the Plaza Christmas decor, and to have a lovely lunch. Unfortunately, Kansas City chose to have a very rainy day. Fortunately, the lunch was excellent, and the indoor decorations were bright and festive.

Great location! We made reservations and I'm glad we did because the place did get full and they were on a wait-list shortly after we arrived. The coffee tasted great and the food was delicious!

This cafe is so good!! I’ve tried several items off the menu and loved everything I’ve gotten. Their drinks are also amazing. Such a good atmosphere.
