BlendWell Community Café

We do storytime with my daughter every Monday. We all read a book together, do quiet time reading, get to take a book with us, and play with toys. She has such a blast here. Not to mention, some of the best coffee around. 😋

Me and my mom go almost every day and the tamales are soooo good the muffins are 10/10 and I love their Carmel frappes my mom gets the lattes and my brother loves the strawberry and banana smoothie and the service here is so good and we even had a baby shower here for one of my cousins and the atmosphere is really nice also the interior

This is my goto coffee shop. The beans they use make the coffee taste so clean and crisp. Their pastries are so light and flavorful. The baristas are so nice and fun to talk to. Very down to earth. Will always come here for my coffee and cake 🥰

I've only been through the drive thru so I'm not sure how the indoor atmosphere is but the outside looks like a bank. They're coffee is phenomenal, though

BEST biscuits and gravy EVER- fluffy sausage. Dark Choc Cappuccino not too sweet: just right balance of rich espresso flavor with choice of sweet flavors and nice and airy. Blackberry Peach Muffin served warm and also great balance of not too sweet and super fluffy. Just Veggin' panini was good but not great- would be great with ghouda, muenster, or asiago (but not an option here, yet). Cute open set up with couches and tables with cushy seats.

I have not been here for the normal service so i could not tell you how thier coffee and food are, however i does smell very good. I have been here because this business hosts Independence community events on a regular basis. This place lives up to its name and we need places like this, ones that support and actually give back to the community.

We had my son's graduation party here. It was a lovely space for the event. I love supporting a business that does so much for the community with its connection to Community Services League.

5 stars in my book, not only is the coffee delicious, the food is good and the employees are so nice! Plus it feels good to get your guilty pleasure coffee without the insane Starbucks prices. ordered a coffee, muffin, and biscuits and gravy, and I spent under 10 bucks! Plus a relaxing environment that is spacious and clean.

Very peaceful and laid back . Went there for a meeting. Love the fivb I got from .there they are very welcoming. ..Didn't order anything

We were on our way up north, passing through KC, and decided to stop for some coffee and lunch. A bit bored of Starbucks and chain fare, my wife found this interesting spot a little out the way. It's about a 5 minute drive from the interstate if you're a traveler like us, but very much worth it.

What we found was more than a coffee shop. It was a community center supporting diversity, belonging, and goodwill. I wish that we came through this area more often so that I could say we'll be back soon. The pressed sandwich was delicious and the cold brew was perfect.

Love the place. Inside is awesome. Service a little slow, but I think the person in front of me had a large order. Unfortunately my tall chai was only 3/4 full.

BlendWell has a lot of good food, pastries, and coffee to choose from. Definitely do try!

As a resident of West Independence, I can't begin to express how nice it is to have BlendWell in the community! They provide quality coffee and food and it's just such a great place to have available in this part of town. I love that the CSL was behind it, and it makes me feel good about what my money is going to. I love the vision that is behind this place and I hope it stays for long.

Found this little gem this morning! The lady at the window was very helpful and sweet. She made me a really yummy breakfast wrap! I will definitely be back!

It was my first time here and the food was great. It took a minute to get to me but I'll be back again for sure.

Went in and got a white ice mocha and granola pastry. It was so good and the ladies there were super kind and made me feel welcomed. Definitely recommend! 🫶😊

Blendwell has great coffee drinks and others at lower prices than the “other” shops. The cafe is part of the Community Service League that helps citizens in need in the Independence area. They have seasonal drinks, pastries & monthly celebrations: Black history month, book readings, meet the author, live music etc.

The building is really nice and open, it used to be a bank and the vault is still there. Coffee was good, and the food smelled good as well. Had a steady influx of people. I was able to work from there without issue. The one young lady working was very friendly. I'll definitely be back.

This is an awesome hangout. They have fantastic smoothies! The atmosphere is nice. It's a cool, old bank feel. Everything is clean. The customer service is awesome! It's amazing how new everything looks in there! There's plenty of seating and I cannot wait to see all the cool community stuff that goes on!
