I got here early on July 4th. It was a beautiful walk! So much to take in and enjoy. There were deer along the way. Lots of friendly folks, though by 9am it was getting a little people-y and traffic picked up. A beautiful and amazing trail for anyone up for adventure!

This is a gem of a park while bicycling! Clean, climate controlled restrooms make a huge difference. This is currently the only restroom on the Kansas City side of the Rock Island Trail, besides the Crane Brewery in Raytown. The other trailheads do have porta-potties, but no running water. The playground is very modern and looks quite safe. I like the map of the entire Rock Island Trail to St. Louis, and I truly appreciate the water fountain with the water bottle refill!

When the rock island corridor is done I will ride from Lee's Summit to Union station in less then an hour! It's almost finished to 71st St.

The trail is great, especially in the summer. It is mostly shaded, flat and a combination of paved and crushed stone. Very few roads to cross.

Nice, flat gravel trail. Heading north is slightly downhill so the bike ride back is a bit more challenging. They keep the trail in good shape and there’s a lot of tree cover.

this is an amazing trail. my only complaint is trail etiquette. so many folks walking in groups or straight lines that you can't get around or go past. if you're taking up more than half (or the entire trail) please move over.

Beautiful new park and a great way to get on the trail. There's water and even a bike repair station with tools!

Good distance, downward sloping from Hartman, so uphill on way back, good route for a work out.
